some thoughts about the album release

The last few months have been a total rollercoaster. Was super excited and then lots of struggling, feeling alone and feeling completely overwhelmed by everything that comes with releasing new music. There were so many “no’s” along the way, bringing waves of self-doubt and anxiety and leaving me wondering why I even chose music in the first place.
But the truth is: I didn’t. It was never really a choice. I just can’t do anything else.
And despite all the struggles, I’m incredibly grateful that I get to make this much music. Music has been my forever first love.

Lately, even promoting it has felt difficult. Sometimes I honestly feel a little ashamed to be out there pushing music when there’s so much fuckery going on in the world.
But when I look at the album itself, I know exactly why I keep doing this. For me, it’s always been about creating. It’s just sometimes difficult to separate the business side of music from the creative part.
But hey, this is the realest stuff we’ve ever made. 100% heart, soul and raw emotion.
So regardless of numbers, this record already feels like a huge success to me. It’s the most honest art we could have made and even a year later, I still love every single track.
Hearing how much these songs mean to some of you is the real win. I’m incredibly proud of this record and I’m promising myself to never confuse commercial success with real success again.
Thank you to everyone who has been on this journey with us. 💛
On release day, I felt pure relief that it was finally finished. But when I got home that night, put the record on and started dancing to it like it wasn’t even ours.

Now it’s out in the world, onto the next chapter!💛

Josep, you’re as smooth as Tennessee Whiskey. Georgina, you’re as sweet as strawberry wine and together you’re warm like glass of brandy.

It was a dream you collaborate with you guys doing post audio for my film. Here’s to a life long friendship and future collaborations.
