This time last week was like a magic✨

The time and space were filled with so much love and gratitude. It took me a while to absorb the surreal experience and here I am, appreciating all the effort Africa @thevitamindproject must have taken up to that day.

It was Africa’s book launch celebration that I was kindly invited to her beautiful home down in Ramsgate. The sound and smell of the beach still echos in my sense.

If you have been following me here a while, you know how much I have admired Africa, from her authentic style to her own way of living, advocacy and enthusiasm. Every corner of her home was a testament of that and people who gathered that day were filled with joy and so much love, which mirrors her.

As an introvert per usual, I was of course nervous turning up in a room full of strangers but soon magic helped me to try! Meeting and greeting some faces I’ve known for years from here was also making me smile. Plus the comfort of the room allowed me to settle over night like a little child.

I am so happy and grateful to find my pottery in some of the images in her book, beautifully photographed by Kasia @kfiszerfoto . Spending breakfast time with Kasia equally added to my found memories already.

Thank you so so much Africa and a huge congratulations!

Part 3

The time had come for us to open our doors and gather with those who’ve shaped the journey—whether knowingly or not.

It was half term. We were juggling work, childcare, the usual rhythm of family life—and still, we managed to host something quietly special. Not just a party, but a pause. An offering. A thank you.

Continuing on the sock theme, I participated in the @shoplamercerie Winter Wishes Sock Swap 🧦 and look at the beautiful yarn I got from my partner @lamb.less 😍 the skein is from @thirdvaultyarns in their Sidereal Sock base and the colour way is called Scholars Wake, with a matching 50g ball of Nettle Sock from @onion_knit_sew and swipe to see the other little goodies she included 😊

SPRING KAL 🌼 Thought it'd be nice to run a little informal knitalong this Spring! #TheOneThatIWantCrop works perfectly for a week-by-week KAL as it's worked sideways and the whole pattern is broken down into sections. And there's so much scope for modifications and playing around with colour - check the hashtag for inspo! Way more exciting than my plain version 😅

I've rounded up a few ideas here but would love to see what you come up with... So far we've had regency inspired straps (@keira_knitly shared mods), criss Cross back, zipper back, lace up back, longer length, different edging, stripes, colour blocks, half and half, multicolour edgings, scrappy stripes... I'd love to see what you come up with!

#TheOneThatIWantCrop pattern is now available 💃🏻 Very happy to have this one out of my head and into the world! I've been absolutely blown away by all the stunning test knitter versions, and can't thank my testers enough for doing such a wonderful job. 🤗

KAL & DISCOUNT
Since both this crop and my #ThePinkOneCardigan patterns are released today, I thought it would be fun to kick off a Spring KAL for the pair! The KAL will run on Instagram (and maybe a Slack chat if anyone fancies it?) throughout April and May.
