Two weeks in Barbados 💛💙

Over the coming week, I will write several posts about my trip, so I am going to let this video testimonial be the first because it was the best way for me to communicate the power of the Still & Sovereign Retreat, hosted by @shurleyhall

There really is power in doing LESS—I will get into more details soon; for today, this is an appreciation post to say THANK YOU to Sharon for her care, preparation, and execution of an amazing experience, and to the entire staff of @lammbarbados that made the entire event beautiful and carefree.

Pictures, experiences, moments big and small—I will share much more. But let's start here. I say this at the end of the video, but it bears repeating, do not "think" about going next year, start planning for it NOW!

To be continued...

💫The Harvest Full Moon was so beautiful in all its splendor @lammbarbados ✨Radiating completion of cycles, phases and stages in our lives - while ushering in beautiful beginnings of unlimited possibilities and opportunities before us.

This lovely group of women came together supporting each other, growing and sharing space to just be still and present in the moment.

It is always a blessing to regenerate, renew and relax with the resonance of sound. Welcoming, embracing, and ready to receive from the unknown to the known, from the unseen to the seen, from the formless into form. Sincerely giving thanks for all that Is, all that was and all that will be ☯️💫🕉️

Sis, when was the last time you were the one being cared for?

Not coordinating.
Not figuring out what's next on the to-do list.
Not making sure everybody else is okay.
When was the last time you were able to just… be?

And rest. And relax.

I know. I can't remember either.

And the truth is, we’re all carrying a lot right now.
You know what I’m talking about.

The things we're watching happen around us. The corruption. The injustice. The uncertainty. The constant barrage of breaking news every single day. And on top of all that, the responsibilities of maintaining our health, our families and affairs.

I know. It's a lot for the nervous system to take.

And that's exactly why I believe experiences like this matter.

Not because we’re trying to escape our lives.
But because sometimes, especially now, we need to intentionally step away long enough to rest, restore ourselves, and come back ready.

That's why I'm inviting you to join me and Sankofa Wellness Project in Barbados.

So that you can wake up with nowhere you need to rush to. Slow mornings, beautiful surroundings and time to breathe.

Time to hear your own thoughts again.
Time to reconnect with yourself. Your dreams. Your peace.

The more I think about our new partnership with La Maison Michelle, the more excited I get about what we're creating together.

Because this isn't travel for the sake of vanity or luxury or overindulgence.

No. We have lives to return to. We have families to protect. We’ve got work to do. Communities that need us. Dreams we're still building.

And each of us has our own particular purpose to fulfill. Because that heavy world out there needs us more than ever now.

So yes, join us in Barbados where we step away from it all for just a moment.

To **reset.**
To **reconnect.**
To **rejuvenate.**

So that we can come back to our lives **well-rested, reinforced, and ready** for whatever it is that we're called to do.

If this sounds like the kind of Barbados experience you've been needing, comment **RESET** below.

I want to know who's ready for the Sankofa Wellness Project Experience @ La Maison Michelle✨

I’ve been waiting to share this one. 🇧🇧✨

Sankofa Wellness Project is proud to announce our newest partnership with La Maison Michelle @lammbarbados , a beautiful Black-owned luxury villa on the Platinum Coast of Barbados.

If you know Sankofa, you know that our trips have never been about simply going somewhere beautiful.

We travel to reconnect.
We create space to reset.
And we return home rejuvenated.

This partnership allows us to offer something I’ve always wanted our travelers to experience: the best of both worlds.

Deep connection to Barbados—its people, food, history and culture—paired with the kind of luxurious rest that allows you to actually exhale.

Culture + luxury.
Connection + rest.
Barbados + Sankofa. 🇧🇧

Like this post if you want to learn about this new partnership.

This is just the beginning ✨️

Thrilled to have @spacetoexhalebook as a sponsor of the Still & Sovereign Retreat. Attendees will get a signed copy of the multi awarded book by @thelisahurley, and a chance to meet the author.

That's on top of the deep relaxation, supportive community, introvert affirming vibe, and beautiful location - @lammbarbados.

There's just time to secure one of the last spots. DM me for details.
