A movie poster for the 1964 romantic comedy The Sex and the Single Girl.
This is one of my favourite films of the 1960s and such an underrated comedic gem. I love the performances from the star-studded cast and especially the fact that they're all such highly respected actors of the 1940s and 50s. Before this film, Natalie Wood hadn't played many comedic roles but she more than proved her own. The rest of the cast Lauren Bacall, Henry Fonda and Mel Ferrer were also not known for their comedic talents, however everyone was funny, silly and wild. Only Tony Curtis was known for his comedic performances in films like the iconic Some Like It Hot. I think because most of the talented cast aren't known for their comedy, the film has largely gone under the radar and isn't given the love it deserves. For me, that's what makes it even more hilarious, wild and entertaining!
• FACT- While dressed in a woman's nightgown, Tony Curtis says he looks just like Jack Lemmon
in the movie where he dresses up like a girl. Tony and Jack co-starred in Some Like It Hot in 1959 and both of them dressed like girls💜📚✨️ #nataliewood

I recently read More Than Love, and it was such a beautiful reminder of the love and memories that remain when we lose someone we love. Having experienced the loss of a parent myself, parts of Natasha’s story really touched my heart. ❤️

Her book allowed me to see Natalie not only as the legendary actress we all know, but as a mother, friend, and woman with so much love in her life.

And I love how Natasha continues to turn that love and those memories into something beautiful through 𝓛’𝓪𝓶𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓶𝓮̀𝓻𝓮 creating beautiful scents that keep her mother’s memory alive and allow new generations to discover the woman Natalie truly was. 🌹✨
