Today’s featured camper is the Squire 805 by @lancecamper, a hard-side, non-slide truck camper for long-bed trucks.

Inside, the floor plan includes an east-west queen bed, convertible dinette, 3-cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator, and porta-potti. The camper carries 10 gallons of fresh water and 20 gallons of grey water capacity, with an on-demand water heater and exterior shower.

Solar is available from 200 to 600 watts, with optional lithium battery capacity up to 400Ah.

At under 1,700 pounds dry, the Squire 805 takes a lightweight approach to hard-side truck camping.

Here to share nuanced gratitude for the privilege of joy and nearness to nature. To think despite all that was survived this summer I can look back to so many bright moments worth celebrating.

PS - These are just the highlights. The lowlights I’m reserving for another time.

Kept up with my fear of MTB, completing my first few trips sin llorar and sin caminar. Without crying or hiking my bike 💪🏽

Found my new fave wet wading boots and waded without worries almost all summer long!

Thank you @astraldesigns for creating the Pusha! Full deets for the community coming soon via @treelinereview 🫣

Wore many backpacks in support of youth access to the Outdoors with @outwardboundusa at @cobs_org 💙

Thanks to a scholarship, I was able to embark on a deeper study of Yoga, embracing its roots and expanding on how to be a more inclusive facilitator. This journey is a story in itself and I’m excited to share more soon.

Gratitude to my peers at @ignitebewell for creating an inclusive and inspiring program.

I climbed my first top-rope in over 2 decades! Thank you for the invitation to try again @cobs_org 💙

Met my dear maestra, colega, client, @curanderxtoolkit in person! Affirming that the connections we make across geographies can be as real as those that start in a shared location. I have learned so much about, and reconnected to my roots and ancestral practices, thanks to Atava, and it was very special to share a meal with her and her partner 🌻

Special gratitude for my hermana @ojoojo who connected us 🫶🏽

I got skunked first time in years. Reminding me why I keep at the humbling practice of fly fishing.

“Skunked” is when you don’t catch or see any fish 😅

I watched the sky a lot, and felt often in awe at all its textures-colors-shapes. What a gift to look up and see its beauty day and night.

And no year feels complete without sharing what I know about the water and the rod and all things outdoors!

Viviana made the trek from CDMX and let us introduce her to the outdoors and the off-grid life! Did we put her through some backcountry rainy days? Did we climb dunes together? Did we freeze our toes fishing? You bet, and she thrived 🎉

Reminder of the joy

The Struts are one of our favorite bands to see live, and the energy they bring is always off the charts!
So it was an extra fun surprise to get to meet the band this weekend while we were in the desert at STO Fest. 🙌🏼

One of our favorite Struts memories was when they opened for one of our other favorite live bands, the Foo Fighters. Luke Spiller came back out to perform with the Foo Fighters and he sang “Under Pressure” with Taylor Hawkins, with Dave on drums. It was one of those moments that sticks with you, not only because Luke and Taylor were really incredible together and did Queen proud. But also because we really miss Taylor Hawkins and the way he created so many fun moments at shows, like that one. 🥰

So glad we made this last minute camper trip to the desert to see the Struts, to enjoy some of their energetic magic under the stars and to meet some other really rad camper people 🌟 💫😍

ps - yes you know we had to give them some stickers

pps - as to why we were wearing ski suits in the desert, well we figured we should start our snow dances early this year and we had to bring the shotski! 🤪

Headed down to Sto Fest in Johnson Valley, California put on by Storyteller and Johnson RV. Stoked to see The Struts, one of our favorite live bands!
We have an exciting winter planned and Johnson RV got the camper roof resealed and furnace tuned up so we can stay warm and dry during what we hope will be a snowy winter ahead!

From a bird eye view, cinematic mountain views, winding roads, a family enjoying the great outdoors🏔️🚐…
And then there’s what actually happens inside the camper 😂.

Loud music, everyone singing at the top of their lungs, questionable dance moves, Sara and I acting like we’re still in our 20s, Maya and Ellie living their best lives, and Piper just along for the ride.
Five of us, one little camper, and absolutely no chill.

Honestly, these are the moments I hope our girls remember when they grow up. Not just the places we took them, but the music we blasted, the laughs we shared, and all the ridiculous little moments in between.
The views are great, but the people you share them with make the adventure.

Anyone else’s family road trips look a little like this? 😂

#roadtrip #Family #outdoors #funny #aux

@lancecamper debuts the 1191 Slide, the highly anticipated slide-out version of its flagship 1191.

Best of all, it’s fully usable with the slide-out in. Bathroom? Check. Dinette? Check. Kitchen and refrigerator? Check. Slide out for space. Slide in and keep camping.

“A Flagship Expands: Lance 1191 Slide” is live on TCM! See you there.

Just a guy making younger me happy! This life makes my inner child extremely happy and also provides a lot of clarity on why I do what I do. Why I am the way I am. The open road brings safety clarity. My own space my own world!
