This clip is from a failed attempt to climb this ledge on Slickrock. 100% driver error. I should have gone up a gear and got on the throttle sooner. I’ve alway admired guys like @lanceclifford and @chrisdurhammotorsports who have a knack for applying the right amount of throttle at the right time. And more importantly, getting OUT of the throttle before scattering parts.

My first World Cup is in the books! Qualifying definitely didn’t go how I hoped, but I finished. Clipped a tree and apparently broke my rear brake lever right off and didn’t know it. Then when I needed said brakes, there was nothing there and I took a hugie! 😂 Good news is I didn’t get hurt other than a few scrapes and brakes are replaceable. It was pretty tricky riding the rest of that course with no rear brakes! Next weekend is the World Cup in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.🇨🇭 Oh, and we still haven’t gotten my bag! 🤷🏻‍♂️

I decided to race both regular downhill and the new ebike downhill race at @bootlegcanyon this weekend. Practice went great and was feeling super fast. Sunday morning I started off with riding Dads ebike in the new eDH class and blew up my rear wheel and flatted in the first part of the course. Rode the entire course with a flat (no insert) and finished the race on foot for a third place finish!

Second race was the important one, and about 100 feet into the race my derailleur left the chat (not even sure what happened, I think I kicked up a rock that took it out) and I only had my easiest gear which of course was completely useless. Made the best of it and finished with a pretty good time and took 4th.
