Victory is not measured by wins or losses, but the results of the blessings that come from the Grace that God grants us. We truly found the glory of being able to make meaningful memories. I reconnected with one of my favorite former players, Jose Mariscal that began the journey to the East La Classic Garfield Vs Roosevelt ❤️💛🏈💪🏽 We were so excited for the opportunity to have transportation provided by the Honorable BOS Hilda Solis 🙏🏽🚍 We had the community of Rider students, parents and alumni that enjoyed the ride and were grateful for this support. For my Queen Michele Sawers and I, we will always remember this day, having her Son Tristan Sawers-Mendoza join us for the game with his love ❤️ CharlyneSheena Vivanco. Sitting with my Brother in Law Frank Sawers and Veronica Sawers (who I had the privilege of coaching him as well at QB💪🏽🏈). Seeing many friends of my childhood like Mia Jackson and Debra Cota Wade with the Mighty Rough Riders playing in SoFi Stadium and making it a great game ❤️💛💪🏽🏈 The Black Eyed Peas brought the excitement and joy 🤩 and moreover our Amazing Roosevelt High School Alumni Foundation Board and the community of Boyle Heights represented the best coming together with East LA and our Bulldog Brothers and Sisters to truly celebrate “Unity in Community”! We are truly blessed to have such an incredible event. All the time God is good!

The GPS for Success event was transformative and inspiring for youth in attendance. Facilitated by @danielpuder and his amazing wife, Diana Pinto, they help youth elevate and prepare for the next level of success. As I witnessed, several youth added "soft skills" to their tool belts, confidence and perseverance. WE are grateful for such an in person "master class" experience. 💯

We gained valuable insight from the @kollabyouth Leadership Council on the issue of Social Media and the Community. The areas of stress, image, anxiety and depression are some of the most relevant topics. We look forward to seeing how we can help with collaborative resources that will help them see positive outcomes for their futures. @abc7community @kollabyouth @cocobear23 @larry.laa @achulyeee
