🌱 Not every cost of growing a business shows up on a balance sheet.

Building and expanding our family operation has meant long days, missed moments, strained relationships, and sacrifices that often go unseen.

We’re incredibly proud of what we’re building, but that doesn’t mean the journey hasn’t been lonely at times.

Mental health in agriculture deserves more attention. Behind every farm, nursery, and family operation are people carrying the weight of keeping it all growing.

You can love what you’re building and still struggle with what it’s costing you.

Check on your farmers. The people growing our future need support, too. 💚

The agriculture industry is the bedrock of our communities and country, from food, infrastructure supply, green space management and ecosystem health. Without these industries we would all be dependent on foreign outsourcing and weaken our global resilience. Support your local farmer's, talk to them about legislation that's important to them and support that(H.R. 9535), fight for our freedom by supporting our domestic resources.

Have you guys heard of @rvovernights? If you have an RV, you can search their app for a FREE place to stay. The catch? But something from the farm! It’s that simple.

Taking my Sprinter Van across the Midwest for fall harvest… and stopped by @fricksonfamilyfarms @serious.ag.alliance for some delicious beef, pork, and more… raised right here in their backyard! Andy also gave me a ride in the combine to harvest soybeans.

You can do this too! Join as an RV member to search a place to stay, or if you’re a farmer or have a local business, you can register to have people stay on your property to meet your future customers. It’s a win-win 🤗

I LOVE THIS as a way to connect consumers to farmers who actually produce our food. It’s educational, unique and fun!

Please use my affiliate link in bio, as I make a small referral commission. And remember to use the code THEFARMBABE at checkout! Hope to see you on the farm 😊🐄

It's up to you! Nobody will come bring your vision to life, you might get help and you might have a head start but it will never happen without you. Embrace the challenges, love the long days with seemingly little progress and take pride in knowing where you are going!

Very few understand when you are unavailable for months or years, no boat days or trips with the boys or girls for a round of golf or weekend away. They don't understand and rarely encourage it.
One day you make a milestone that is actually visible and everyone is there to share in the happy moment and pat you on the back. Don't let that moment cloud your mind. You should be as proud of your work every weekend not spent playing as the day everyone wants to share that glass of champagne and touch the moment of greatness your work has made possible.
Stay focused, keep the right people around you, keep grinding!

@landedforimpact: Lord, tonight we lift up the farm families in the path of Hurricane Isaias.

Watch over the ones who stayed behind to care for their animals. Cover the fields that are still waiting on harvest. Protect the barns, the equipment, and every home at the end of a long dirt road. Give rest to the farmers who worked past dark to get ready, and give them courage for whatever the morning brings.

When the wind dies down, surround them with neighbors, with help, and with hope. Remind them they aren't facing this alone.

"He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still." Psalm 107:29

Please keep our Gulf Coast farmers in your prayers this weekend. 🙏

People of the Prairie, Leaders of the Land- FREEDOM MAKERS- 🇺🇸 This one is for you. Not only is this an iconic scene from the Civil War and Gone with the Wind- a movie I’ve watched well over 100 times-I think we can all agree- we still believe and fight for this today.

You ever get so defeated you just end up pissed off and determined to win instead? Yesterday was one of those days. As angry as I was at one point and as exhausted as I was at the end, I can honestly say the word 'quit' never came into my thoughts yesterday. I think this is what separates so many successful individuals vs those making excuses why they didn't reach their goal. Progress, be it 3 ft at a time across a 200ft field is still progress. Have a productive day! #theverandaview #agriculture #landscaping #grit #florida

Between diesel prices, labor costs, and input costs like labor for Agricultural operations, the American farmer is breaking. As in being bankrupted. Our nation has no foothold on which to stand without the solid foundation of agriculture to support it. This ranges from the food we eat to our ability to sustain a healthy green infrastructure to retain, and purify, our water. H.R. 9535 is only one piece of the puzzle to give our farmers a fighting chance to survive. Call your local US representative today and ask them to advocate for H.R. 9535

🚜 It’s National Farm Safety & Health Week!

Today’s focus is Equipment & Rural Roadway Safety—a reminder that getting the job done safely doesn’t stop at the edge of the field.

Whether you’re behind the wheel of farm equipment or meeting it on the road, slow down, stay alert and give each other room. A little patience can help make sure everyone gets home safe. 🌱

Farm safety takes all of us.
