Day 75
Lebanon & Indianapolis, IN
DCI World Championships Prelims (88.688)

Really good day (until scores). Was so mad I just went to sleep immediately. Whatever. Two more runs. Age out ceremony today.

Day 72
Lexington -> Winchester -> Lebanon, IN
DCI Kentucky (88.85)

Pretty crappy rehearsal followed by a good run score-wise at the show. Currently on the last real bus ride of the season to our final housing site of the season. The end is here. The Farm is impending.

Day 66
Woodbridge -> Annapolis -> Reading, PA
DCI Annapolis (Canceled)

Tornado warning, then we got warmed up and to the gate, and then a bit more rain ruined it. Whatever. Allentown Friday.

Day 64
China Grove -> Winston-Salem -> Woodbridge, VA
NightBEAT (86.45)

Another interesting scoring choice by the judges but whatever, NightBEAT is a cool show. Finally not a show day tomorrow, and kinda? out of swamp tour. Honestly I don’t know if Virginia counts or not.

Day 61
Oak Grove, AL
Rehearsal Day

Long, wet day in Alabama. Lots of rain and lots of show changes, but a lot of improvement too.

Day 57
McKinney -> Flower Mound -> McKinney, TX
Dallas Free Day

Probably the best free day I’ve ever had. Spent the day with nine other tubas at Gage’s house. Had some BBQ, played games, took a really good nap, and got a haircut. Very good day, back at it tomorrow.

Day 56
San Antonio-> McKinney, TX
DCI Southwestern Championships ()

I’m not going to dignify the score we received tonight by listing it here. We deserved to go on later than we did. Regardless of that and the mistakes that happened in our run, we will prosper. We will beat the teams ahead of us that don’t deserve their placement. That’s all.

Otherwise, not a good day for me unfortunately. I had a good run, but my morning sucked, and then I didn’t get to spend very much time with my family who came all the way to San Antonio just for me. Let’s just say it was an emotional day. Regardless, free day tomorrow (haircut) and a fresh mindset going into the last three weeks of my drum corps career.

Day 50
Columbia -> Mission, KS
Rehearsal Day

Honestly the worst day of the season for me so far. Got sunburned pretty bad, busted my lip open, got cut off of a part, had a serious “do I deserve to be here” mindset, and then found out we got seeded 12th for San Antonio. Fuck it we ball though. Here’s a picture with Logan from a couple nights ago. Also the song is funny, because we were in Missouri? Yeah. That’s all.

Day 42
Marengo -> Chicago -> Holmen, WI
Chicago Free Day

Amazing free day. Did a bunch of things I didn’t get to do last year (except see the fireworks). Now it’s back to rehearsal!
