LOOKING BACK | wow a year has flown by since we launched ‘LOOK EVERYWHERE’ in #Philadelphia! That time has flown by… but it was such a wonderful occasion with several artists present too. And what a treat it was to curate a show featuring 33 artists working from 30 progressive art studios across America. Embedding access from the outset, we carefully thought about how the exhibition could be accessed by many different audiences, and how to group the artists to allow them to be understood more. I’m still very grateful to be asked onto the wider ‘Look Here’ project… keep your eyes peeled for a new publication out later this year focusing on progressive art studios and different voices within them and supporting them. Thanks also to Atelier Gallery for hosting, and for all the artists, studios and lenders to this magnificent show - of course, all those who visited too! Come visit me this weekend.. Saturday, Sept 19, 12-6 open studios. DM me for address! Also come make art in a BK park 2-8 pm Sunday, September 20th.. Mama Love | Free Palestine weekend. I will have tees, prints and art available to provide vital direct mutual aid funds to a dear family in Gaza. I will be sharing art about love.. thinking a lot about my mom, and all the joy her creativity has brought me, and that collaborative spirit. Also we must continue to support Gaza in every tangible way that we can. There is so much pain we have caused, so many lies we we’ve been fed. It is up to each of us to support people in Gaza and to full-throatily reject Israel. #canyousayfuckisrael?
