I am not a beggar 😣

I would rather suffer quietly and find a way than ask anyone for help.

That is just who I am.

But this one day, I was drowning.

Flat broke. No options left.

And the only person I could think to call was someone who was already carrying the world

Paying bills, sponsoring fees, doing renovations, holding the family together with both hands.

I felt guilty even typing the message.
No explanation.
Just that I needed money.

He sent more than I asked for and I wept.

Not small tears.
I wailed because I knew what it cost him and he still did it without blinking.

Then another time, he came back into the country for the holidays.

Came to see me and my brother.
Looked around quietly and filled my freezer with my favourite soup.

He didn’t announce it.
Didn’t make it a moment.
Just did it.

I woke up in the middle of the night and wept again.

This is the brother God gave me.

Father. Friend. Sponsor. Everything.

God knew I needed more than a brother.

So He gave me him.

My brother has a kind heart 😣

And I don’t say that lightly.

I say it knowing what he has walked through.
The betrayal. The mockery.
The people who disowned him, denied him, threw him out like he was nothing.

I say it knowing all of that and watching him come out the other side still kind.

Still generous. Still laughing. Still giving.

I would have lost my mind.
I would have kept score.
I would have made people feel every ounce of what they did to me.

Not him.

He just kept going.
Kept loving.
Kept showing up for people who never showed up for him.

I know God is real because of my brother.

Because only God can do that to a person.
Only God can take someone through the valley of the shadow of death and bring them out still soft.

Still whole. Still full of light.

He is proof that love is real.
That forgiveness is possible.
That joy can survive anything.

Today my brother celebrates another year and I am on my knees grateful that he is here.

7 years I was the baby 🤧

Unbothered. Irresponsible. Living my best unbothered life.

Then this one came and suddenly I had to cook.
Wash. Clean. Grow up.
Because there was someone smaller watching me.

I did not know that this small human I was learning to be responsible for would one day become the person I run to.

He invades my space like he owns it then sits quiet with me, talks my ear off, matches my energy without being asked.

He just fits.

When he left after 6 months of internship, I fell sick because he had become my routine and nobody warned me.

Sometimes I look at him and cry.
Not sad cry. Pride cry. Shame cry.

When did you grow up?
How did you become smarter than me?
Who gave you the adult manual and why didn’t I get one?

He holds my mumu button unapologetically 🤧

I can beat him ohhh.
But touch him and I will find you.

He treats me like his younger sister now and honestly?
I let him.

My brother @landlrd came for an internship 🤧

He left with a full Port Harcourt tour package 🤭

While he was busy cleaning and making sure my only house chore was to cook, I was busy spending my siblings’ money AND mine to show him the city 😂

Here is the thing, Port Harcourt will give you everything if you let it.

The food. The views. The energy.
Most people just never leave their house to find out.

Every weekend was a new place.
Every outing was a memory.

He worked hard, I made sure he played harder.
This is what 6 months in PH looks like when your sister refuses to let you be boring.

6) I am glowing, blessed and highly favored 🥰

God is GOOD ALL THE TIME and my life is a testament of that goodness.

The Journey of Four Years 🙇🏽

The journey of four years has finally come to an end. Honestly, this post wasn’t even supposed to happen. This whole post-graduation and pre-NYSC period has been one of deep reflection for me.

People often say university went by too fast — but mine felt different. I still remember my matriculation in 2021, thinking how long four years would be and planning how I’d manage myself through it all: the routine and impromptu classes, the chapel services, and the discipline required to stay consistent and get things done.

Looking back now, I realise my life from 100 to 300 level was... pretty simple. Class to hall, hall to class — that was my rhythm. Even during one-hour breaks, I’d still walk back to my hall to rest. Pleasure almost became my name 😂.

Then came 400 level — and I honestly had no idea what to expect. But I knew I’d make it through. That’s when leadership really started for me. I was first selected as a Service Unit Executive @cuevangelismteam , which came with its own mix of spiritual and organisational demands. Not long after, I was elected President of the National Association of Mathematics Students of Nigeria (@namsn_cu ), at @covenantuniversityota

That role changed everything. Managing people turned out to be nothing like it looks from the outside. My biggest lessons? Patience and effective communication.

During my tenure, I also served as Chairperson of the CST College Week Committee @cst_cu , which became one of my biggest highlights. Our events had their own unique twist — especially the Squid Game we hosted alongside the College of Engineering @cu_c.o.e . If you missed it… you definitely missed out 😂. Let’s just say the limits of what people will do for money keep expanding 😂.
