It always gets uglier before it gets prettier!

We're inside our Cordova Project in Gastown, transforming a studio apartment inside a 100 year old building. The goal is blending heritage character with modern finishes. We're keeping the exposed brick and raw cedar beams while updating the millwork and finishing the concrete floors.

Lagree Kerrisdale – Build Update

For this Lagree location, limiting sound transfer between units was a priority. We worked with the client, developer, and an acoustic engineer on wall and ceiling assemblies to keep the sound and energy of Lagree classes contained within the studio.

What we built:

A separately framed demising wall and an 11′ dropped ceiling, both with mineral-wool insulation and 2 layers of 5/8" Type X drywall ✅

Next up: Our crew is starting rough-ins. Stay tuned!

Side note: Still getting comfortable in front of the camera, but @islandrainproduction keeps coming up with new ideas and angles. Bear with me! 😆

Progress Update | East 14 Duplex — Unit 1 | Final Chapter 🏁✨

The final details are in. Unit 1 is complete.

What began as a vision has now become a finished home — thoughtfully designed, meticulously built, and refined down to the smallest detail.

From the architectural structure and exterior envelope to the millwork, stone, tile, cabinetry, plumbing, lighting, and carefully selected finishes, every element has come together as intended.

The major work is complete:
✔️ Structure, exterior & architectural finishes
✔️ Custom millwork, cabinetry, tile & stone
✔️ Kitchens, bathrooms & interior detailing
✔️ Lighting, plumbing & appliance installation
✔️ Exterior works & landscaping

At this stage, only final inspections remain. Turf will be completed following move-in as the last touch to the exterior.

And with that, Unit 1 reaches the finish line.
