A big thanks to everyone who made it out last night for the opening of Soul in Stone: A Selection of Work from the Digital Stone Project @digitalstoneproject curated by the brilliant India Price @iceprice99 at The Active Space in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Here are a few pics from a wonderful event!

The Digital Stone Project has been transformative for my practice, and I’m so happy to be part of this lineup.

A special shoutout to Linzhi Wang @_binniebean_ , my NYU IDM grad research assistant (lucky me!), for her creative tech and 3D assistance, along with grad student Yichen Niu @yichen.niu for 3D printing during the ideation and prototyping phase of the project, pre-Italy. Thank you also to NYU Tandon/IDM @nyutandon @idmnyu for your support of my DSP residency. ✨

A lovely night at Snøhetta’s new Dumbo architecture studio with my partner Cleveland. As a multidisciplinary firm, their space is a fascinating exploration of ideation and prototyping (& plenty of festive energy in the room tonight). I especially loved the setup (image 05) of a vintage typewriter and case sitting alongside a VR headset and game controller. It’s the perfect metaphor for the cross-disciplinary “physical meets digital” process they employ.

As a visual artist, seeing this kind of practice in action really resonated with me ✨🎨🏤 #architecture #process @snohetta #dumbo

At the opening of ‘Re-Union’ this past Saturday by @whiteboxny Portable curatorial framework, curated by @juanpuntes and @yohannamroa

The exhibition unfolds at the 42nd Street–8th Avenue subway station in New York City (Lines A, C, E, downtown), a high-traffic urban site where over 200,000 individuals circulate daily. Within this condition, the exhibition operates as an embedded structure, exposed to movement, interruption, and the temporal instability of the public sphere.

Dates: May 9 – May 30, 2025
Hours: Tuesday–Friday, 11 AM – 6 PM

Re-Union, New York brings together artists who have been part of WhiteBox over the past three decades, activating a network that unfolds across time, memory, and institutional history. The exhibition proposes an open field of relations, where each work functions as a distinct position within a shared yet unstable framework.

Drawing from medieval Livres d’Heures (Books of Hours), surveillance aesthetics, and the staged logic of the art
fair, Taylor Cleveland constructs a space where devotion, spectacle, and extraction converge, each sustained by visibility. The exhibition considers how attention is ritualized and how value is performed, shaping what is seen, desired, and consumed.

Embedded within the folly of The Faire, Ro2 Art presents ‘Model of Me’, a new five-minute, three-channel cinematic work by Carla Gannis, installed as an immersive three-wall projection and with an original soundtrack by R. Luke DuBois @rlukedubois

Hi Internet. Had to take a break from you for a few weeks to heal, but tonight is special. Celebrating my first date, 11 years ago at a dive bar, with this hunk @landocliffs. Tonight we’re at Nabila, a wonderful Lebanese restaurant in Cobblehill and we’re recalling a beautiful visit to Beirut back in 2019. I chose a soundtrack recalling #WingsOfDesire,” one of my all time favorite films. When I first met Cleveland, I told him how much I loved it, and that I’d only keep dating a person if they watched the film with me (ha ha what a litmus test, who was I then??). Well, he watched it with me, but fell asleep half way through. He is such an angel in my life, and I knew it then, so it was okay. *Btw, my first glass of wine in a month and feeling a little snookered 🦋

A belated Happy 2026 to you! May we all find our better angels this year 🖤🪽

What an absolutely lovely night getting to hang out with fellow “CVPA Distinguished Alumni Award Recipients” from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro @uncg @uncgarts ! Ha, none of us there remembered we were “distinguished,” and we just ate and drank and talked about coming from North Carolina and finding our way to New York City to do our acting, performance, dance, visual art, creative tech, etc... thing.

So happy to get to hang out with current UNCG folks: Bruce McClung, Dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts; David Huskins, Director of Development; and Terri Relos, Director of Alumni Engagement + of course the absolutely fabulous alum cohort tonight: Bonnie Becker, Theatre, (on the left next to me), Kathleen Kelley, Dance, (back far right), Calandra Hackney, Theatre, (middle right) and Chris Chalk, Theatre (front right).

The pin up model behind us, with angels and devils, completes the picture for tonight, as we talked about #AI and its affect on the arts and how we are all making peace with the “Genie out of the bottle” while still asserting the special human sauce that goes into all of our arts practices. Of course, there was less esoteric conversation too, over digestifs and dessert ;) 🍨

So grateful to be included in @mud.foundation’s week-long guerilla activation and two day exhibition, “Looking at Models” curated by the incomparable Dr. Charlotte Kent @lucyscribbles for MUD Foundation’s Media Under Dystopia 6.0 in Miami.
