2028 Boys Basketball Player Rankings

Initial release featuring 118 ranked players across Georgia

This Class of 2028 is coming.

These players are entering their junior year, and over the next two seasons, a lot can change. Rankings will move, offers will come, names will get bigger and more people will start paying attention.

But the work is already happening now.

This isn’t a ranking. This is a group of players @VDAthlete has had the opportunity to watch and cover across Georgia. Some are nationally ranked, some already hold Division I offers, some have earned All-State honors, and some are just starting to get the recognition their game deserves.

The best part is watching them compete against each other and seeing how much their games continue to develop from year to year.

There’s a lot of basketball left before this class graduates. Go watch them now. Support the schools. Support the players. Support Georgia basketball. The world is sleeping on us!

18 players. 18 different stories. One Georgia 🏀

At 6-foot-8, Baer Bailey is a versatile frontcourt piece who can impact the game on both ends. He stretches the floor, handles in space, rebounds and has the mobility to switch onto guards defensively.

Bailey earned All-Region and All-State recognition after averaging 16 points and nearly nine rebounds per game. His recruitment has also taken off, with offers from Georgia Tech, Tulane, Sacramento State and Utah.

At 6-foot-6, Landon Evans brings length and versatility to Saint Francis.

Evans can play inside or face the basket, run the floor, rebound and defend different positions. He earned All-Region and AJC All-Metro Second Team honors after becoming an important piece for the Knights.

Calvin Goss put together a big sophomore season at Jonesboro.

The 6-foot-1 guard averaged around 17 points per game while earning All-Region, All-State, AJC Southside First Team and AJC Class 4A Second Team All-State honors.

The lefty plays with pace, changes direction well and consistently finds ways into the paint. He can create his own shot, make plays for others and has already shown he can produce when the pressure increases.
