Our final night was everything I hoped it would be. The sunset, the songs, the vibes, the genuine appreciation of music, and the tears. I listened to Jelly Roll daily when I was healing myself on the trails of Baldwin Park walking miles and miles. And Posty was, well…Posty. It was easily one of the top 5 shows I’ve been to. I hope the boys had the time of their life. Because I damn sure do every day watching these kids I get to raise grow into cool ass humans with big hearts.

Day 7 - Part 1 We packed up and headed to Kootenai Falls and the Kootenai Swinging Bridge. Small hikes but amazing views. Jackson wore the Metas so I got to experience crossing the bridge virtually since I am seriously afraid of heights. Gorgeous falls that left me speechless. Like so much of this state. We had a nice treat on the way out at the roadside dirty soda and ice cream float stand. 😋

Day - Can’t Remember…which is the sign of a great vacation. Pretty sure today is Thursday, which makes it Day 4. Spent a full day whitewater rafting with an awesome guide named Crawfish Katie from Texas. She had lots of facts about lots of things. We spent about 4.5 hours on the water and encountered some Class 2/3 rapids. The scenery was unreal, lunch along the shore was great, and the rocks were every neurospicy gal’s dream. Dinner was another highlight with grilled bison steaks, asparagus and loaded baked potatoes. Photo of my girls at the end…who I miss like crazy. They would love this life. Question of the day…Should I buy an RV and drive it back?

Day 3 - Breakfast at the campsite with eggs, sausage and bacon with 3 smoke alarms for good measure. 😁 It was decent and fueled us for a 30+ mile E-bike ride through Hungry Horse Reservoir. We made a couple side quests to find Doris Creek and Lion Lake. On the way back, we stopped at the Huckleberry Patch for ice cream before heading to Kalispell for “the best wings” at Fatt Boys. They were pretty dang good but not better than some of O-town’s best. Dinner at the campsite courtesy of Chef Landon with beer brats and onions. I neglected to get pics of the failed blueberry cobbler I burnt. 😂 The weather could not have been more perfect ending with a gorgeous sunset. We’re off to bed early to get rested for tomorrow’s adventure.

Day 2 - Picked up Bertha in Lolo before hitting the road toward Glacier National Park. This trip required a bit bigger rig with 25’ of pure fun for the next 8 days. The boys are sharing the bunk space over the cab which leave me a kick ass queen cubby in the back with a full bathroom. The drive was incredible with vistas of Flathead Lake. For the next 3 nights, we are staying at a beautiful spot on private property just a couple miles outside the park. Dinner was hasty with some hot dogs, chips and s’mores. Oh and Montana is green 🌱 which brings me joy. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s adventures.

Lolo, Montana - Beautiful forested mountains along both sides of the area where we stayed @lolohotspringsresort. We dipped in the hot springs pool, found some wings, and took a morning hike. Great start to our adventure.
