New essay is live on Substack.

This one came out of a week in Homosassa with @drifterfishclub, chasing tarpon, listening to guides, and thinking about what happens when nostalgia starts to take a nasty turn on the present.

There is just something about Old Florida. A few shots of our recent @drifterfishclub Tarpon Camp in Homosassa. We will be releasing a roundtable podcast and more writing this week.

Camp Snap Recap.

Homosassa is one of those time portal places. Old Florida culture, untouched coastlines, and colorful characters. Fishing Homosassa isn’t just about fishing. It’s about experiencing what makes this place special.

Our Tarpon Camp was filled with good southern food, late porch whiskey, cold beer pitchers at McRaes, and a few days of solid fishing.

A few fun @campsnapcamera shots from our @drifterfishclub trip to @xcalakonthefly. I can’t wait to share more. Our week was filled with great life conversations, cutting up, and catching a few fish.
