As we continue introducing the 2026 Lane College Athletics Hall of Fame Class, we proudly honor the legacy of another exceptional Dragon whose accomplishments and leadership left a lasting mark on Lane College Athletics🐉🔥

Next in the spotlight: Ivan Bowen 🏈⚾

Bowen represented Lane College from 1981–1985, competing as a two-sport student-athlete in both football and baseball. During his time in the football program, Bowen established himself among the conference’s premier defensive players, earning First Team All-Conference honors in four consecutive seasons — 1981, 1982, 1983 and 1984.

His outstanding collegiate career reached another milestone in 1984, when Bowen was named the SIAC Defensive Player of the Year, adding one of the conference’s highest individual honors to an already accomplished Lane career. HOF Ivan Bowen
Beyond his athletic accomplishments, Bowen was remembered as an exceptional athlete and leader during his time on campus. He was also a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, reflecting his involvement within the Lane College community beyond competition. HOF Ivan Bowen
Bowen graduated from Lane College in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management, leaving behind a legacy of excellence that continues to be remembered and celebrated by the Dragon family. HOF Ivan Bowen

Join us in honoring the life and legacy of Ivan Bowen, a member of the 2026 Lane College Athletics Hall of Fame Class❗️
