The Langham Chicago, the details edition 🏙️

Mies van der Rohe building, river views, and the little things I didn’t expect: a hair and makeup nook in the room, a soaking tub big enough to actually use, Chicago-themed chips at the snack bar, and a sleep mist by the bed.

We had a Club Executive room with two full beds, which is great for friends trips or a girls’ getaway. The Club Lounge is the real perk: breakfast with a river view, tea sandwiches in the afternoon, full size candy bars all day long (!!), and local foods to sample all day. Truly more than enough food and drink is included in the Club Lounge giving you full permission to cozy up in your hotel room all weekend.

Best for: friends trips, birthday weekends, or anyone who wants a spa day built in. Save this for your next Chicago trip, or DM me and I’ll help you book it with perks through Fora. ✈️

We understand why Chicago brides love this 5 star property @langhamchicago .

Thank you to Jordan who gave us a private tour of the hotel, event spaces, and photo nooks that make this hotel a beautiful spot downtown to get married.

We’re particularly excited about so many photo spots all within the building and walking distance.

If your wedding style leans modern, sophisticated, and a little editorial, this downtown Chicago wedding venue deserves a look.

Mies van der Rohe-designed, river views, and the little touches that got me. 🏙️

I stayed at The Langham Chicago and the Club Lounge alone was worth it: the views, the personalized service, and afternoon tea service. Then the details: Chicago-themed chips at the snack bar, a Dohm sound machine and rest mist by the bed, and a spa where with all the amenities your heart desires (including a zen sand garden!).

Getting there from Virginia is easy. Nonstop flights to Chicago leave from Norfolk (ORF), Richmond (RIC), Lynchburg (LYH), Charlottesville (CHO), Roanoke (ROA), Dulles (IAD), and Reagan (DCA).

Save this for your next Chicago trip, or DM me and I’ll help you book it. ✈️

We had a blast showing our Les Clefs d'Or International mascot, "Chok dee" the Second City. Our friend was only able to see just a small sample size of what our great city has to offer. This is one of the many reasons why CHICAGO has been voted the best city to travel to in the United States10 years running.

A great thanks to all the vendors that shared our city and culture with Thailand's mascot. This is not goodbye, but more like see you in six months in Bangkok.

แล้วพบกันนะเพื่อน!

If you’re thinking about taking your family to Chicago, save this one. ☺️🤍

We kicked off our summer road trip with a few days in Chicago, and @langhamchicago truly felt like the perfect home away from home.

It was that little touch of luxury without ever making us feel like our three littles were out of place. Quite the opposite. 🥹 From the moment we arrived, our kids were welcomed with open arms. The sweetest bear keepsakes were waiting for them, and by the end of our stay, the staff and doormen were greeting them with hugs every time we came back through the doors. It’s those little things you remember. 🤍

We added Club Lounge access to our stay and LOVED having a place to pop into throughout the day for breakfast, snacks, drinks, meals…and an impressive amount of candy. 😂🍭

But one of our favorite surprises was the Kids Suite. A dedicated space just for little guests to play and unwind between adventures?! Every family-friendly hotel needs this. 👏🏼

The location was perfect, too. We could walk to the riverfront, shops and restaurants, spent an afternoon exploring Maggie Daley Park and cooling off in the water play area, wandered around Millennium Park…and then came “home” and ended our last night with a movie in the hotel theater. 🥹🍿

It somehow gave us the best of both worlds: experiencing Chicago with our kids while still feeling like we were actually on vacation.

A few days later, we packed up the car and headed into Michigan for the next chapter of our summer road trip. 🚙🤍

Chicago, you were the sweetest way to begin. ✨
