The focus of our most recent @langleyrivermen chapel: FIND AWE.

We live in a culture that undervalues awe. Awe seems impractical. It sounds unproductive. What even is awe?

When feeling the pressures of the sport or life, or struggling with your game, those pressures and struggles can fill your purview, and feel like the biggest thing you’re experiencing.

Finding awe means putting yourself in places that remind you how ultimately small these things are. It could be the edge of a mountain, the middle of a lake, or in the middle of a massive forest. Finding awe can give perspective, provide a reset, and get you out of your own head.

I loved hearing Rivermen players share about the ways and places they find awe. But it’s something that’s easy to forget when the pressure is on and we may need it most.

photographing the @bchockeyleague @langleyrivermen vs the prince george spruce kings on october 17 2026.

shooting manual focus for sports photography requires good positioning and better timing (and honestly a lot of luck) to get the shot. maybe one day i’ll be able to afford of these fancy 80-200mm auto focusing lenses and not have to use this broken, manual focus only lens.

Taking a break from being tournament action to enjoy an evening at the Langley Rivermen Game.

A great evening featuring Chuck-a-puck, t-shirt toss and questionable group picture taking ability 🤳🏻
