Farming can be incredibly isolating, and opportunities to sit down with other farmers, growers and people who understand the challenges and rewards of agriculture don’t come around nearly enough.

Whether you’ve been farming for 40 years, are just getting started, are studying agriculture or simply want to connect with others in the industry, you’re welcome.

No agenda, no pressure. Just free burgers, good conversation and an opportunity to build relationships within our local agricultural community.

The meat was sliced thin, stacked high, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Pairing it with their rich, cheesy poutine was the ultimate soul-food experience.

On a day out in Langley, we stopped in for a quick lunch at @chaiiwalaca, and we loved our first visit!

Chaiiwala started in 2015 in Leicester, England, built on a family chai recipe that goes back to the founder’s great-grandfather selling chai in Delhi. It’s since grown into a big UK chain of their modern, quick, no fuss cafe concept, and expanded across Canada, and is best known for its karak chai, pink chai, Indian street food and an all-day Indian breakfast menu.

We enjoyed our karak and dirty chai, aloo paratha with mint yogurt dip, pav bhaji toastie, samosa chaat, and chicken tikka bowl. Everything came out super quick, packed full of textures and flavours. 100% would do again!

Family-Friendly Halloween Events in Metro Vancouver 2026 (Part 2) 🎃

Looking for a free, family-friendly Halloween event this season? You have to check out Halloween of Yorkson! 🏡✨ This neighborhood goes all out with custom-made decorations, and it’s already starting to come alive for Halloween!

*The footages were taken last year in 2025

🧙‍♂️ Our favorites? The Harry Potter-themed house and the Viking/Game of Thrones house at the corner — complete with a hand-built Viking ship, costumed owners, and even an African Grey Parrot (Kia) you can hold! 🦜 (My son was over the moon — it’s his favorite parrot!)
On their FB Page: you can see Kia Monday to Saturday from 5-8 PM.
They accept candy donations to help support the 3000+ trick-or-treaters they had in 2024.

👻 It’s perfect for toddlers and younger kids — fun and magical, not too spooky. Plus, they’re still adding more decorations as Halloween gets closer!

Take a walk through Langley’s wartime history with Stories from the World Wars, a guided walking tour exploring Langley’s wartime history through the stories and sacrifices of local families during the First and Second World Wars.

Beginning at salishan Place by the River and concluding at Fort Langley Cemetery, this tour offers an opportunity to reflect on the lives, service, and lasting legacies of local veterans. Registration is required and is $2 per person.

I just wanted to express my gratitude to you all people of Langley, @langleytownship for your vote. I highly appreciate your vote, your trust, and your voice. I believe this is it for now. And the next 10 years, I will take them to work in #Law #Lawenforcement and to grow as a #leader. I too , will take a break from politics to attend #LawSchool and to get #God’s direction for the coming future. I tried 3 rounds and three rounds I was knocked out. But this last one as a school trustee, I won’t regret. I love the children, the youth, and the family. And I will work exhaustedly to represent you well in the coming years. Thank you all. $21 per person, free for under 2.

I know… a little steep for a full family. There is a family rate for 2 kids, 2 parents and 2 grandparents for $120.

But tbh, you get your crew of people out here or just your family and mix in a little fort Langley cafe visit and your golden. Perfect family memory made. I can vouch— they have been exactly that for me. You can comfortably spend 3 hours here with your kids, particularly if you go with friends
