As a wedding photographer, I’m usually the one telling people where to stand and what to do with their hands. Being the one wondering what to do with mine was a pretty funny change of pace.

Finally sharing a few photos from August 1. So much of the day was made possible by the people who love us. My parents opened their restaurant and hosted our celebration. Heather was right there with Kelly through so much of the planning, and George helped make it all come together. Arliene, Corin’s mom, welcomed us onto her property for the ceremony. We felt so cared for from every direction.

Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us. Having people from every part of our lives together under one roof meant so much to us.

Kelly, standing beside you, surrounded by all the people who helped bring us to that moment, I kept thinking about what it means to choose a life together. All the big promises come down to the little everyday ones. I love you, and I feel so lucky that I get to keep choosing you.

We’ll always hold this day close, and we’re so excited for everything still to come 🤍

And to all the couples I get to photograph from here on out, I’ll keep reminding you to take a breath and be in the moment. The day really does go by so fast, and I understand that even more now.

You know back in the days of a e s t h e t i c IG there used to be this rule that after every 9 to 12 posts you were supposed to re introduce yourself because of how fast your following cycles through and while I've never subscribed to that I do believe I should show my face from time to time lol

So hey there I'm Langston I'm a New England boy through and through, Autumn is my favorite holiday but I also have a deep love for spring florals and the pastel colors that come with them. I prefer chilly weather even though my bones don't really agree with it and I love to period pieces and rom coms. I feel like I'm a walking contradiction of someone who always looks so serious but I'm actually a big goofball right out the gate as soon as I get on the topic of something I love or find funny.

I guess those contradictions are more like my duality I understand the highs and lows, twists and turns of a big day and some of that understanding of changing tempo I attribute to my time as a musician and being a drummer that was responsible for keeping the band afloat and making sure I was a rock steady anchor through a set. In similar ways I like to think of myself as a tempo keeper for a wedding day. Never letting anyone around me rush too fast and giving necessary happy nudges so that no one feels down during moments that feel like they can drag.
