PART 2 drops TOMORROW 🎙️🔥

We’re going beyond “More EdTech ≠ more learning” and getting into what actually moves language acquisition forward.

Because tracking minutes, clicks, and completion is easy.

The harder question? 👀
Are students actually producing more language?

Part 2 of my conversation with Mike Llerena on the Language Pedagogy Podcast drops tomorrow.

You don’t want to miss this one. 🎧

🚨 More EdTech ≠ more learning.

More screen time. More platform minutes. More expensive tools.

But here’s the question that matters:

Are students actually producing more language?

🎙️ Episode 247 of the Language Pedagogy Podcast is LIVE NOW, and I’m digging into what my research revealed about EdTech use and language growth for multilingual learners—and what students actually need for language acquisition.

Because usage data can tell us what students did. It can’t automatically tell us what they learned.

This is a conversation I’ve been waiting to share. 💛

For Instagram, I’d also remove the four URLs from the caption and use one link in your bio or a Story link sticker. It makes the post cleaner and gives people one obvious next step.

Tomorrow. 🎙️ And we’re going there.

What if the problem isn’t that students aren’t using EdTech enough… but that we’re measuring the wrong thing?

The first episode of the Language Pedagogy Podcast drops TOMORROW, and we’re talking language growth, EdTech, multilingual learners—and what the data actually tells us.

No fluff. Just research → classroom practice.

🎧 See you tomorrow.

A little preview of what’s coming Tuesday… 👀🎙️

We’re talking multilingual learners, EdTech, and one question I keep coming back to:

Are students just using the technology—or are they actually using language?

I had such a great conversation on the Language Pedagogy Podcast with Mike Llerena about what the research tells us and what that means for what we do in classrooms.
The first part of the episode drops Tuesday. 🎧

Districts keep buying the tech. Nobody’s teaching the rehearsal. You can hand a teacher every platform in the world — if students never get structured practice retrieving the language, it doesn’t stick. Tech logs usage. It doesn’t build memory.I sat down with the Languages Pedagogy Podcast to talk about the piece districts skip when they roll out EdTech: teacher support for language rehearsal — the actual bridge between short-term exposure and long-term acquisition.Full episode dropping soon. #BilingualEdTech #EmergentBilinguals #LanguageAcquisition #ELPS #TELPAS #ComprehensibleInput #EdTechTruth #TeacherSupport #DualLanguage #TeacherTok #LanguagePedagogy #DrC @languagespedagogy
