When I opened Here Comes The Dress, I didn’t know much about bridal. My dream was simple—I wanted the freedom to set my own schedule, spend more time with my kids, and hopefully sell some beautiful dresses. I dove in with nothing more than a dream and a loan. The first few years were tough. The years that followed brought growth, but also new challenges. We grew, we changed, we expanded, and eventually, we circled back to home base. Through all of it—14 years now—I found myself asking, “What is my purpose?”

What I’ve learned on this journey is that my purpose isn’t just about dresses. It’s about women. It’s about making them feel welcomed, embraced, confident, beautiful, strong. It’s about helping a bride who feels unsure, discouraged, or self-conscious see her own beauty. It’s about learning who she is, what this day means to her, and listening—really listening. It’s about cherishing the small, sacred moments.

The brides, moms, sisters, and grandmothers I’ve met over these 14 years are extraordinary. The women I’ve been lucky enough to work alongside—many of them will be lifelong friends.

The peace came when I realized my purpose wasn’t just to sell dresses. My purpose was to connect. To make women feel heard, loved, and celebrated. To help create memories that will live in their hearts forever.

So the next time you find yourself questioning your purpose—in your career or in life—think bigger. Maybe it’s not about your 9–5 at all. Maybe it’s something far more important.

Happy Anniversary to us. 🤍
