Feeling a lil nostalgic today🥹Here’s just some of my favorite memories! I’ve spent the last 4 years with some of the most incredibly amazing people who have taught me so much! What an amazing few days at our store leader summit in Scottsdale AZ! “It’s easier to be a parent this morning...It’s easier to tell your kid, character matters. Telling the truth matters.” @vanjones68 words have set with me since yesterday. I had all the feels when I heard him. All the feels as a mom of two black boys. All the feels as a woman. All the feels as a BLACK woman. . . . I will be honest it has been hard for me. As it has been hard for many. It’s been a different type of racism held over many black peoples head the last 4 years. Don’t get me wrong it has always been racism (Always will be) But it hit me different this year. It hit me hard. #BreeBlooms . . . Today many of us woke up with more hope & more inspiration in our hearts. I hope last night you found joy....I hope many of you found rest. E X H A L E . . . As a Black Woman I woke up with hope, with joy, with a rested heart. I woke up knowing I am valuable. I am a vital voice...that I can make a difference. In this surreal environment I often find myself realizing what an incredible opportunity we have. A fleeting opportunity that may never happen again. I’m blessed to be able to homeschool my boys and teach them more than just math, reading, science and social studies. I feel like I’ve never been closer to them or my wife @lanietaylor. Spending this much time together has allowed us to grow together as a family and I couldn’t be more grateful for this time that I’ll look back on and realize that it fundamentally changed our family for the better. I hope you can take advantage of this time in some way or another.
