Every small business has a story.

And honestly, that's our favorite part.

When people walk through our markets, they see incredible products. What they don't always see is the story behind them. A lifelong passion turned into a business. The artist creating after a long day at work. The maker perfecting their craft one piece at a time. The small business owner taking a chance on themselves and their dream.

Those stories matter.

So today we're launching something new.

The #MakerSpotlightSeries is our way of introducing you to the people behind the work.

First up is Laura from @lanolastudio, whose bright, colorful artwork has become a favorite at our events.

Take a minute to hear her story.

The next time you buy from a small business, ask them how they got started. We promise the story is usually just as good as what they're selling.

Welcome to the Maker Spotlight Series.

We've got a lot of great stories to tell.

Dear gentle readers, wedding season is upon us.
Greystone Castle in Boulder played host to a styled shoot this author found rather worth reporting on. Rain clouds gathered above. Champagne was poured regardless. And on that stunning black and white marble floor, there was dancing.

There is always dancing when the right two people are in the room.

The rings rested on the keys of a Steinway. Blue candles burned low on a table set with ranunculus and rattan. Bridesmaids carried parasols into the grey Colorado sky without a word of complaint.
This author took note of every detail. As this author always does.

If a styled shoot can look like this, one can only imagine what an actual wedding at Greystone will bring. The ton waits with great anticipation.
