Join us for the 112th Annual Exhibition: Near Here Opening Reception Friday, September 11th, 5-8pm at the Media Arts Gallery at Robert Morris University!

The Associated Artists of Pittsburgh 112th Annual Exhibition: Near Here opens on September 11, 2026 at the Media Art Gallery at Robert Morris University. The exhibition spans a network of university galleries throughout Western Pennsylvania in the cultural orbit of Pittsburgh: the Media Arts Gallery at Robert Morris University, the Martha Gault Gallery at Slippery Rock University, the Kipp Gallery at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and the Harlan and Jodee Harris Galleries at Seton Hill University.

Juried and curated by Allison Lacher, the 112th Annual has a theme of nearness and invites viewers to consider what it means to be near and the conditions through which nearness is formed. With this theme, all 4 locations have a throughline connecting one to another, making a multi-show exhibition feel as a whole. As it is one, each location also holds its own theme as part of nearness; Reach: Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Hold: Robert Morris University, Suspend: Slippery Rock University, and Return: Seton Hill.

Artist at Media Arts Gallery, Robert Morris University:
Pati Beachley, Lauren Braun, Lori Hepner, Alejandro Jimenez, Scott Lanway, Brent Nakamoto, James Parlin, Michele Randall, Sara Jean Ruiz, Carrie Smith Libman, and Mark E. Weleski

Meet Blake! I had the pleasure of shooting alongside him and roughly 2 dozen other photographers this past Saturday in Koreatown, on a street photo walk organized by @fhphotoclub.

On a train to Hollywood the other night, Jonathan here spotted my camera and asked for a quick shoot. Turned into a conversation about how LA speaks so many different languages, how we pick them up the longer we’re here.

My first photography teacher: my dad. Love you Pops.

Happy #FathersDay to our dads, fathers, and father figures. Thank you for helping us become who we are.

A location she wanted.
A day she needed.
Two years after our last shoot, I got to help a beloved friend and client rediscover the joy she’d been missing for quite some time.

My wonderful friend and client Patricia and I had our 4th shoot together this past weekend in San Diego County! I’m still culling and editing from 900+ photos I shot on the day, but this one was so good I just had to share it now. Keep following along for more highlights!

My badass friend Katrina is graduating from Bakersfield College with FOUR degrees, so of course I had to come up and do her grad photos! (And as a bonus, set photos of her and her cast mates for the play POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive!) What a privilege to capture her triumph, her joy, and the love she shares with her partner Mike and her daughter Vienna.

Today is the vernal equinox, the official beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. (Although if you live in California, you’d be forgiven for thinking we’re already deep into summer after this past week!) Perfect time to go out searching for wildflowers, and even to book a shoot with them—call or DM me today!

About four years ago, I got to do this fun shoot in Manhattan Beach with my lovely friend Alex. Shortly after, she met the lucky man whom she is marrying today! Congratulations Alex—you were a stunning model, you’re going to make an even more stunning bride!
