We must fix how we commute, especially in the FCT.
Abuja was one of the fastest-growing capital cities in the world in 2014. How did we go from that promise to a city where two people squeeze into the front of a small cab, commuters stand for hours during rush hour, and people are forced to risk their lives in unsafe forms of transportation, like riding in the back of a Hilux, simply because they cannot afford the outrageous cost of getting around?
We will fix this.
Because public office is a duty, not a title. And the people occupying these seats must be those who understand our problems, have practical solutions, and have the will to deliver them.

This should not be normal.
For workers commuting across AMAC and Bwari, transportation is not just about getting from Point A to Point B. It is about how much of your income is spent commuting, how much time is lost, and whether you can get home safely and with dignity.
We need to stop treating transportation as an afterthought.
The Federal Urban Mass Transit Agency Act dates back to 1993. It was created for a very different transportation environment. More than three decades later, we need to ask whether the framework guiding our urban mass transit system is still fit for the realities of today's cities and commuters.
That is why I am proposing a National Efficiency Transit Operations Act, a new framework to replace the outdated 1993 Federal Urban Mass Transit Agency Act and put the needs of today's commuter at the centre of transportation policy.
A framework focused on affordable commuting, efficient mass transit, safety and accountability.
Because transportation is not a luxury.
It is a necessity.
Abuja deserves a transportation system that works for the people who keep Abuja moving.

As campaigns officially begin, we reaffirm our commitment to the people of the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency.
If given the opportunity to serve, we will work to ensure that representation truly mirrors the interests, aspirations and everyday realities of our people.
Right now, the FCT is facing a public transportation crisis. We cannot continue to rely on outdated frameworks to solve modern problems. We will push for the reform and replacement of the outdated Federal Urban Mass Transit Act of 1993 with a modern, efficient national transit framework capable of addressing today’s transportation challenges and bringing public transportation in line with the standards attainable in modern societies.
This is not just about buses and roads. It is about making movement affordable, reliable, safe and dignified for the people who live and work in our communities.
We ask for your support for a movement built around Service, Not Promises, a movement determined to serve the people rather than perpetuate the old order of public office holders who make promises during elections and disappear afterwards.
AMAC/Bwari deserves representation that works.
