is it just me or is the nyc DIY scene in a new golden era? 🤩 it feels like a grassroots moment, events by the people and for the people. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏽

i’m so grateful to these organizers for creating spaces for people to come together through music. i went to four DIY shows last week and each one felt like home. you’re what keeps new york’s music culture alive.

For my voting Recording Academy friends, I’d be honored to have your ears on my latest song, and your consideration in two categories:

Thanks to the incredible musicians who joined me on this ride:
Josh Deutsch, Greg LaPine, Juancho Herrera, Carlos Henderson and Yayo Serka - and to Josh for his magic with the arrangement.

As I pack my room up in Graz I’ve been reflecting on how crazy these last 2 months have been (and really the past 3 and a half years). From graduating with my Master’s at KUG, travelling over 36,000Km, and meeting and reconnecting with a lot of great friends. It’s truly been an inspiring time to be alive and playing music. Even though it costed me a scar on my forehead, a twisted ankle and a chipped tooth it gives me a lot of hope for what else is out there in this beautiful world.
