Khalid Raji is a multidisciplinary artist based in Marrakech, Morocco, working across dance, photography, and design. Rooted in movement and guided by culture, his practice explores identity as something layered, evolving, and deeply human.

Through physical expression and visual storytelling, he creates narratives shaped by vulnerability, cultural memory, and emotional nuance. Drawing from both contemporary influences and everyday Moroccan life, his work invites us to pause and find meaning in ordinary moments.

We’re honored to feature his work at Deserted Photo Booth for the month of March. Welcome all.

Authenticity, individuality, and curiosity all meet in laqya, creating characters that represent the phenomenal “insects” that reside within us, setting us apart from each other and embracing the uniqueness of individuals WHICH IS ITS WEIRDNESS. These characters represent various human conditions and emotions, creating mystery and provoking curiosity. Through the creation of fictional worlds, bringing forth the idea of self-discovery, human identities, and diversitys, all with a sense of humor and authenticity.
