A historic milestone for Lebanese wine culture.

ASLIB – Association des Sommeliers du Liban is proud to announce that we have officially certified 12 sommeliers through our first-ever ASI Prep programme in Lebanon.

The ASI – Association de la Sommellerie Internationale is the global authority in sommelier education and certification, uniting the finest sommeliers across more than 70 countries. Being recognised under the ASI framework places our graduates firmly on the international map a milestone not just for ASLIB, but for Lebanese wine culture as a whole.

Our 12 graduates represent the full spectrum of the wine world — winery directors, sales professionals, bartenders, and passionate wine lovers who took the leap to formalise their knowledge. What united them all was a genuine love for wine and a desire to take it to the next level. We couldn't be more proud of each and every one of them.

This achievement would not have been possible without:

The Gerard Basset Foundation, for championing diversity and education in wine and for believing in Lebanon's potential.

Jean-Vincent Ridon, for his expertise and unwavering commitment to raising the standard of sommelier education.

Annahar, for providing the venue and welcoming ASLIB with open arms.

✨ Lucien Chehwen, for his invaluable practical support throughout the programme.

Our winery partners:
Muse du Liban
Skarya
Umami

To our 12 newly certified sommeliers, you are making history. Welcome to the family. 🇱🇧🍷
