Sirmione - Last 3 days in Italy

We ended our adventures in Sirmione on Lake Garda meeting up with our sis, Yvonne Arellano-Castillo and Antonio to celebrate their upcoming 60th birthdays 🎉 🎉 Little bit of rain, but that didn’t stop us visiting a winery!

Still in Tuscany - Day 7

Realized Tuscany is a region in Italy and not a city 🤣 who knew?

We started in Greve in Chianti, then to Castellina in Chianti where we bought yummy olive oil, next was Radda in Chianti where we found the best wine ever at lunch, stopped to pick some olives off a tree, then found a tiny town called Meleto. Our last stop was Volpaia where we had a little tiramisu & gelato.

Once we made it back to the hotel to rest before dinner, Cathie looked up the wine I had a lunch & realized the winery was only 4kms away from us, so instead of resting, we jumped in the car and raced to buy a bottle of wine before they closed! Priorities….

Tuscany - Day 5 & 6:

Had a great day strolling through Montalcino, a village on top of a hill. The next day we continued exploring and went to the natural hot springs & a quaint town called Pienza

Day 5:

Rented a Fiat and had so much driving stick shift for the 1st in over 10 years, it’s true what they say “it’s like riding a bike!”

We drove to Treviso, as it’s known to be the birthplace of Tiramisu & Prosecco. Then a stroll through a mural village called Dozza famous for artwork drawn on every building. And lastly, a terrifying drive through the winding roads & hills making our way up to Montalcino in Tuscany.
