LARSON WEJMAR (Turlock)--Larson was a work-horse at Turlock. He was All StanCo Xc in 2024 and 25. Hwas 2nd team Soth SJS for the 2025 XC season. He ranks #32 for South SJS at Willow Hills. On the oval Larson was all StanCo in 24, 25, and 26. He was second team South SJS in 2026. Larson produced a quick 9:14.01 for 3200m which lands him at #12 all time for StanCo and #16 for South SJS.

HAYES TERRY (Beyer)--Hayes is a warrior. His form looks less like a sports car and more like a tractor...but you worked for him. In XC he was all StanCo in 24 and 25. In 25 he was voted 1st team South SJS. He ranks #18 at Willow Hills (16:15) and #23 at Woodward (15:40). In track he was all StanCo in 24, 25, and 26. He made 2nd team South SJS for track in 26. She was all StanCo XC in both 24 and 25. In 2025 she was also 2nd team South SJS in XC. Her best times of 19:03 at Willow Hills (#14) and her 18:24 at Woodward ranks as #10 for South SJS. As some of you know with my recent retirement from teaching I had free time that I guess needed to be filled. With this in mind I have expanded my coverage area. This area is drawn from the schools that comprise the CCAL, CCC, VOL, WAC, TVL, MLL, SAL and a few of the very small schools of the CCAA and MVL that also fall into that region. I think it comes out to 52 schools. I am calling this "South SJS Distance." This includes all the StanCo schools and the surrounding schools that I have mostly been photographing already. As a way of recognizing the runners from this region, I am naming an "All South SJS Distance" team. The team was voted on and selected by seventeen different coaches from the various South SJS schools/leagues. The team is comprised of a male and a female “Runner of the Year” who received the most votes. The next seven vote earners comprise the “First Team,” and vote recipients 9-15 make up the “Second Team.” This team represents fifteen different schools. The athletes will receive their photo collages and special patches in late January.

year 3 of xc!

I’m sad to see it end early and not where I wanted it to. Yet I’m so very grateful for all the experiences I had and of all the accomplishments I achieved. I’m grateful to have gotten closer to my team and to have gotten faster overall. I’ll definitely take what I learned this year and put it forward into next year. There’s only up from here. track🔜
