Reason #55 I love living in Midtown Atlanta: I'm basically surrounded by happy hour. 🌮
Atlanta has been my home since 2008, and Midtown is the part of it I chose on purpose. Whether I want a quick drink with friends after work or I just need to get out of the house, there's almost always something happening within walking distance. You don't have to plan a whole night out, because it's right outside your door.
This week that meant a random Wednesday lunch at La Santa Tacos & Bar. No reservation, no parking situation, just a walk over. Chips and guac, a couple of plates, a cocktail with a grapefruit slice in it, and an afternoon that didn't require anybody to drive home. That's the part of Midtown people don't put on the pros-and-cons list, but it's the part you feel every single week.
I'll be honest: walkability is one of the first things I ask about when I'm helping someone figure out where in Atlanta they should live. Not because it's trendy, but because it changes how you actually spend your Tuesdays. If "I can walk to dinner" is on your list for your next home, that's a conversation I'd love to have.
Midtown neighbors, what's your walk-to spot? Drop it in the comments so I can try it next. And if you're considering a move to Midtown, save this one. 📌

Patio season in Midtown is my favorite personality trait. ☀️
If you need me this summer, I’ll be rotating between these patios with a drink in one hand and delusion in the other.🍹🍾💕
