I Know What You Are: a Trans Twilight Live Read

Technically the first live-read of my summer. It was a @joywholived event and I had a big discount for being on their mailing list 🎉. Which is great because I am a 🐀✨️.

It did not disappoint. Everyone was fantastic, the laughs were non-stop and I became a big @alicebrenner_ fan. ❤️

It's still available to watch on VOD! (see last slide)

Well, my show is tomorrow. Wow!

This is such a triumph of a show. Not because it’s the best or funniest or any sort of superlative you can think of. Because I set out to do something really difficult and my anxiety tried to stop me every step of the way. And now, all I am is proud.
If you can come out Monday night to see it, I promise you’ll leave lighter and more inspired than when you came in. If not, I just hope you know that if I can do scary stuff, so can you. Putting your art in front of people is vulnerable and brave. And I’m rooting for all creatives everywhere.

One of my favorite moments of the premier! Not least of which because I got to play a bit with my amazing friend and director @lasertheboy 🥰

Good news is I’ve performed the show six times now so we should be all good on memorization. BUT it is 75 minutes so anything could happen!

Come see it live

Y’all this could be you! Next Monday Oct 19 at 9:30p PT! NPC Energy returns to @elysiantheater !

Here is a photo dump of the crowd during and after my premiere of my solo musical NPC Energy! Back in March
📷: @kateinreallife @kvephoto

The enthusiasm and whimsy of the crowd was electric. Two years of effort and joy poured into this show. And I am bringing it back one more time this year to celebrate the album release (original cast recording aka me).

I’ve been on such a journey with this show, traveling to different cities and conventions and recording the music, keeping up with voice training the entire time. It has been so special to meet so many people and make you all laugh and cry. Let’s do it again, shall we!?

10.12.2026 Pat Pat Club | Heartbroken that this spooky night is over. @thepatpatclub had another amazing show showing us that jazz can be spooky. Our Queen of Jazz was joined by none other than @phatchanse who brought an extra tingle up our spines with every note. Our performers showed us how love can be between humans and dogs and their love of a theremin. Love to @patrickpatrickpatrickpatrick & @patricksargent for making this a staple show in my calendar. Bonus shoutout for the 12 foot skeleton that did not fall on us 🤣

Started my career in show business wandering the campus of the University of Minnesota putting up fliers for our weird theater/comedy shows with a T-50 staple gun. This week, I relived those days by putting up posters for the two live screenings in LA of our weird horror film @deadmediamovie. Younger me would be ECSTATIC that 1) I made a feature film 2) I could afford to print color posters 3) I lived in the same neighborhood as the apartment building from Swingers.

Anyway, screening info:

Oct 17 - 4 pm at @whammyanalogmedia with Q&A moderated by @kennapzok
Oct 23 - 7:30 pm at @eastwoodpac with Q&A moderated by @lasertheboy

And announcements about Dead Media’s streaming debut coming very soon…
