A month ago we started volunteering at @shepherds_house_childcare without knowing what was going to be the outcome. We know the challenges that most of these underfunded schools face and for @botgango to be able to make an impact in such a short amount of time is always hard to tell at first.

Through donations from all of you, we were able to get some immediate needs like bunk beds, mattresses and mosquito nets along with some supply of food and soap quickly to the kids at the school.

We know that the most costly reoccurring items such as food and salaries have to be looked at much differently than continuing to ask for donations. So @botgango came up with some sustainable development projects for @shepherds_house_childcare to eventually shift away from donation based handouts to now only asking for a one time donation for projects that will continue to bring funds in to support the school even if donations dry up.

We were successful in creating 2 smaller sustainable development projects for @shepherds_house_childcare but focusing on the last and final project which was purchasing goats. These goats will help them purchase more land to grow food. Growing their own food for the school will cut down the amount they spend and bring more money in to pay teacher salaries, upgrades to the school and many other advancements throughout the years to come.

When @frankfurtatlien reached out to have friends and family help us donate these goats, we had 12 lovely people respond and send the money. @lashedbyrex @rimiconnect @nazthenapper @nyahzurieshe @miss1nita @iamkishmeena @thatguy_g_ @mattcav___ @jaiboogie_37 Mary Simms and a few anonymous donors are the real hero’s of this success story! I applaud you and cannot thank you enough!

We have our Boots On The Ground so you can feel comfortable in knowing that your donation will go directly to the source of need with visual confirmation the whole way!

As we move on to the next school or orphanage, know that you who read to the end of this message hopefully will reach out to be a part of our mission to bring sustainable development to as many underfunded programs we can!
