10+ YEARS OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP TAUGHT ME THIS…

I’ve relied solely on my businesses to make a living for over a decade. No matter how much social media glamorizes entrepreneurship, staying in business takes faith, consistency, discipline, and resilience.

Here are 10 things that helped me:

1. STAY CONSISTENT.
Show up when you make $10,000. Show up when you make $0. Show up even when nobody supports you.

2. BELIEVE IN YOUR VISION.
The vision was given to YOU. Stop expecting everyone else to understand it.

3. NEVER STOP LEARNING.
Business and technology are constantly changing. Adapt or get left behind.

4. PROMOTE YOURSELF.
Twenty no’s can lead you to the one yes that changes everything.

5. SHARPEN YOUR SKILLS.
Never get too comfortable. Growth requires you to keep getting better.

6. MARKET TO EVERYBODY.
Everybody is supporting somebody. Why shouldn’t it be you? And if they don’t need you, they may know someone who does.

7. INVEST IN YOURSELF.
Scared money doesn’t make money. If you won’t invest in your vision, who will?

8. CELEBRATE EVERY WIN.
Small progress is still progress. Give yourself credit for how far you’ve come.

9. GIVE YOURSELF GRACE.
You won’t always get it right. Learn, adjust, and keep going.

10. KNOW THAT NOBODY CAN DO IT LIKE YOU.
A million people can do what you do. Someone can even copy your entire blueprint—but they can’t duplicate YOU.

Your story. Your personality. Your experiences. Your gifts. Your purpose.

Don’t focus so much on who’s doing what you do that you forget nobody can do it the way YOU do it.

Keep showing up. Keep learning. Keep believing. Keep building. 🤎

Not long ago, I was the girl who posted to prove I had a good life. I wanted people to see the success, the fun, the money—the version of me that looked happy.

But the truth is, I didn’t always know how to be vulnerable enough to show the parts that weren’t so pretty.

Over the last few years, something shifted in me. I stopped wanting to prove my worth and started wanting to live with intention.

I had money before, but money never gave me peace. I tried to find peace and happiness through alcohol, weed, shopping, relationships, and anything that gave me a temporary escape.

But an escape can only take you so far.

It wasn’t until I truly surrendered my life to Jesus that I found what I had been searching for all along: peace, joy and love.

And now, I don’t share my life to make it look perfect. I share because maybe my transparency can help someone else realize that the things we use to escape can never give us what only God can provide.

Surrender isn’t easy, but it’s worth the journey.

Now when I look at my pictures, I don’t see a broken girl pretending to be happy anymore. I see a woman who was genuinely present, genuinely grateful, and genuinely happy in that moment.

And that means more to me than anything I could ever post to impress somebody. 🤍

I stopped trying to look happy and finally learned how to be happy.

My favorite part of meeting new people on the daily is telling them who I am, what I do and where they can find me ☺️

2026 has been so beautiful to me.

I’ve lost some things I thought I needed, and I’ve gained things I never expected. Some people were meant to be part of a season, while others have become part of the journey. I’ve experienced challenges that stretched me, but I’ve also found a deeper peace, stronger faith, and a clearer sense of purpose.

This year has reminded me that growth isn’t always loud. Sometimes it looks like letting go, choosing peace, protecting your heart, and trusting God’s timing.

I’m grateful for every lesson, every blessing, and every new beginning. Here’s to continuing to grow into the person I’ called to be. 🤍✨

By the time I was each of my children’s age, I was already pregnant.

My son is 17 today. At 17, I was pregnant with my daughter.
My daughter is 20 today. At 20, I was pregnant with my son.

People judged me, questioned my value, and made me feel like I had something to prove. I was ashamed that I didn’t have the support of my family. I even remember someone telling me that because my father had passed away, it would be hard for me to find someone to marry.

I was called “dingy.” People said I made poor decisions. For years, I carried their opinions and unknowingly made them my identity.

Today, I’m grateful for what I’ve accomplished—building two beauty businesses in two states, earning esthetician and real estate licenses in both Texas and Michigan, becoming a published author, speaker, and community leader.

But none of those titles define my worth.

What defines me is who I’ve chosen to become: someone who gives hope, encouragement, support, and love—even when I’ve needed those things myself. I keep showing up because I know I have something valuable to offer.

I share this because I was once the person people overlooked.

Now, I’m someone they can’t forget.

Don’t let your past determine your future. Don’t allow someone else’s opinion to become your identity. You were created to bloom.

And roses don’t apologize for blossoming—they simply become everything they were created to be. 🌹

Before God releases what you prayed for, He prepares you to carry it.

The stretching, the waiting, the sacrificing, the shifting, and the growing weren’t random—they were preparation.

You’ve been praying for increase, open doors, and the next level. But God isn’t just asking, “Do you want it?” He’s asking, “Are you ready to carry it?”

Some blessings come with greater responsibility, leadership, purpose, and stewardship.

You weren’t being punished. You were being prepared.

What you prayed for is coming. Make sure you’re ready to carry it.
