RealPulse Africa was live at the Stakeholders’ Engagement Meeting held on Tuesday, September 30, 2026, at The Stable, Surulere, Lagos, as the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA) introduced the Electronic Physical Planning Permit System (EPPPS) to transform the physical planning and development permit process in Lagos.

The event brought together town planners, architects, developers, traditional rulers, government officials, professional bodies and other stakeholders within the built environment to discuss the importance of physical planning and the transition from the traditional manual permit process to a digital system.

Beyond the unveiling of the EPPPS, the engagement provided an opportunity for participants to gain a better understanding of what physical planning means, why planning is important, what a planning permit is, the different classes of planning permits, who can obtain a planning permit and the responsibilities of property owners and built environment professionals in achieving orderly development.

Today, I attended the Stakeholders’ Engagement Meeting on the Electronic Physical Planning Processing System (EPPPS), organised by the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA) @laspppaofficial at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The engagement provided an important platform for stakeholders and professionals in the built environment to gain deeper insights into the features, operational procedures and implementation of the EPPPS—an initiative aimed at leveraging digital technology to enhance efficiency, accessibility and service delivery in the physical planning permit process.

It was also an opportunity to exchange ideas on how technology can simplify approval processes, strengthen compliance and contribute to sustainable urban development across Lagos State.

Together, we are building a smarter, more efficient and sustainable Lagos.
