“I had a good time in Boston. It’s kind of melancholy, but really beautiful. A fantastic place to escape.” Banana Yoshimoto, “NP”

Beyond grateful for the wonderful time I had in Boston and the people I met here that made it so amazing.

Everyone complains about this city- the restaurants all close before ten, it’s cold nine months a year, and the T always runs late- too, too late. Despite that, I really do love this place. There’s a certain charm about it- it’s a magical place: a place that doesn’t feel like it’s part of the world. I learned so much here- for that I owe so much to this place.

In sha Allah, I’ll be back. From Omdurman to here, with all its turns and plot shifts- what a story, and what a writer! It’s phenomenal- that this all could’ve been decided in pre-eternity…

Africa’s future is bold, creative, and young—62% under 25 today, 70% by 2040.

At #HarvardADC, we saw what happens when leaders across sectors—education, art, sport, tech, and policy—come together. Honored to learn from Viola Llewellyn, Dean Momar Dieng, Jidenna, Solomon Kalou, Dr. Sarah Setlaelo, and Liberia’s Minister of Education, Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah.

Youth-centered education. Economic mobility. Culture as power. This wasn’t just a conference—it was a blueprint for Africa’s next chapter.

After an amazing two-week trip to Liberia, I’m back on base—and what better way to dive back in than with the Black History Month Mixer at @africaharvard Harvard Center for African Studies!

It was great reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new ones, including fellow Liberian scholars Baba @lassanav.donzo from Harvard, as well as MT Wesley from MIT.

Grateful for spaces like this that bring people together and spark new ideas. Here’s to an exciting semester ahead!
