What if healing didn’t begin with words, but with vibration? ✨

A drumbeat you feel in your chest.
A voice that opens something you didn’t know you were holding.
The shimmer of a gong. The pulse of rhythm. The strange, beautiful moment when a room full of people begins to breathe, listen and move as one.

At Kisima, sound becomes a doorway.

Across the weekend, journey through immersive soundscapes, collective rhythm, live instruments, voice, repetition, breath, improvisation and deep listening. Some sessions will invite you inward. Others will bring you into joyful collaboration and connection.

From gongs, bells and handpans to drums, shakers, didgeridoo, song and spontaneous musical conversation, these are experiences designed to be felt as much as heard.

Because sometimes the body understands what the mind cannot explain.

Swipe through to discover some of the sonic journeys waiting for you beneath the baobabs. 🌿🎶

Which one is calling you?

A little recap of our last showcase on Saturday
It was such a beautiful musical experience, and we’re so grateful to everyone in our community who came through and shared the moment with us.
From start to finish, the performances were eclectic, vibrant and full of energy — taking us on a journey through different sounds, moods and expressions.
Here’s to many more sonic journeys together.

Deeply grateful to everyone who came through to celebrate 2 years of music, culture and community with us at the Baobab Studios anniversary + label party 🤍

Seeing so many beautiful faces gathered in one space reminded us why we do this — to create, preserve, share and grow culture together through sound and connection.

Thank you for dancing with us, listening with us, and being part of this journey.

Vibes Boss😎

I’ve never heard amazing music like that which was being played at @baobabstudios_kilifi 2nd year anniversary, both live Mwanzele and playback electronic music full of Kilifi elements.

Mentally I’m still there ‼️

Looking forward to those heavy releases and sets by @lastaglobal and @_i_am_lemi and most importantly this banger by @official_suffocatesa
