This is not about saving celebrities or giant studios. It is about the thousands of people behind every frame.

In the latest two years of available data, approximately 205,000 more people moved out of LA County than moved here from elsewhere in the United States. During a comparable period, LA lost approximately 5,500 motion picture and sound recording payroll jobs. That does not include the thousands of freelancers who have spent months waiting for work or have left the industry completely.

When a production leaves LA, it does not only affect filmmakers.

Caterers lose orders. Hotels lose guests. Drivers lose work. Restaurants lose customers. Equipment houses and local businesses lose clients. Entertainment workers stop buying homes and renovating properties, affecting real estate, construction, contractors, designers, and suppliers. Families leave, school enrollment drops, and the impact continues spreading.

You can help.

🎬 Watch and recommend independent films
🎬 Attend local screenings and festivals
🎬 Open your home or business to productions at reasonable rates
🎬 Donate, invest, or connect filmmakers with people who can
🎬 Hire LA filmmakers and support businesses that support local productions
🎬 Share our work and help us reach an audience

Supporting local filmmakers is not charity. It keeps people working, homes occupied, construction moving, schools supported, and money circulating throughout Los Angeles.

We create for you. But we cannot keep creating here without you.

Let’s keep filmmaking in Los Angeles.

Some stories stay with you until you write them. This one did and now, with these extraordinary women and team underway, it’s stepping into the light as my directorial feature debut.

Over the moon and so grateful. Here we go! 🎥
