The best Lucky Dumpling Market strategy involves sending your friends away. Briefly.

Eliza Kirschbaum’s advice: everyone heads to a different stall, orders something to share, then returns so the group can try everything. It’s a practical solution to a menu that includes dumplings, bao, noodles, barbecue, curry and the naan-meets-nachos proposition that is Naancho Naancho Man.

Opinions on naanchos can divide your friend group. James from Arts Garden still wants to be a naancho man.

Eliza joined us to talk about the Adelaide Riverbank market’s food, live performances and new additions. Pitch Karaoke has arrived for the first time, while Friday opening has moved to noon, giving city workers a lunch option and visitors an alternative to the evening crowds.

There’s music on the stage Thursday to Sunday, with local artists and community groups sharing the program. Lastlings play a free concert this Sunday, 25 October, at 6:30 PM.

We also talked about what festivals leave behind. Eliza hopes the market, which she says will continue beyond OzAsia’s final year, can keep creating opportunities for artists to meet and collaborate.

Little moment from one of our new songs on the @thetempertrap tour. Michael Belsar may have cooked on this tone on the @hologram_electronics chroma. My favourite Fender Tele thanks @heath_fma 🙌🏻

@lastlings at @forummelbourne, supporting @thetempertrap, 11/9/26.

thought I’d take a break from the pretentious captions for once and speak a little on a bit of a pinch-me moment.

I feel very lucky to have been able to shoot my first concert over the weekend at the forum of all places, especially when the band I’m working with is fronted by someone I love very much.

a night that did not go to plan whatsoever with amy going down with food poisoning an hour before going on stage, but managing to push through and get through the whole set flawlessly…@amyjanedowdle you’re an absolute trooper x

despite the stress of it all I love how these shots came out, and I’ll do my very best to pretend that all of the motion blur was intentional :)
