So funny! We were visiting Riverton Ward last Halloween for their Trunk or Treat. Little did we know, we’d move to the ward five months later❤️

Riverton 24th Ward Trunk or Treat did NOT disappoint! I didn’t get much photos or videos because I was chasing Tony a lot of the time, especially during TOT. Oh well! The food and company were great! We all had a blast! #Riverton24thWard #TrunkorTreat #FaFamily2026 #HappyHalloween

**Lao family reunion 2026

Day 3-Labor Day Park Day

Enjoyed the last of the summer sun at the park together as a family. Our focus for this day was for all of our kids(the second cousins) to get to know each other because there’s so many of them and we rarely get together except for reunions and if we have family functions during the year(missionary programs, weddings, funerals, etc).

All of us wore T-shirt colors depending on which generation we are in Sateki and Kulaea’s family. Our parents(Lao siblings and their spouses) wore white, us first cousins wore navy blue, our children(2nd cousins) wore baby blue and the 3rd generation wore royal blue.

We played games(videos will be in a separate post), ate dinner and enjoyed each other’s company. We performed for our families(in another post). The best part was seeing our parents have fun and dance. They love being together…like for real for real! You can catch all of them at one of their houses on Sundays talking til 2am. They really do love chilling together. I love their relationship with each other!!

This all started because two people fell in love 💞 #LaoFamily2026 #LaoFamilyreunion #SatekiandKulaeaposterity #ForTheMems

Also, thanks @gardenia.of.glendale for your photos lol

Day 2—Family Home Evening

This night focused on our family history, stories, and learning more about our parents in their experiences coming to America but also growing up with grandma Kulaea and grandpa Sateki. For as far as I can remember, our Lao reunions(whenever they were) always consisted of a family home evening or fireside on Sunday. We did exactly that.

We had one person introduce and tell about each sibling(our parents) and then we held a panel where we asked them questions about their upbringing. Uncle Tevita who is in Tonga had recorded his answer to our panel questions and we were able to listen to his memories. We had to put a time limit because they all LOVE to talk 😂😂 they of course didn’t listen to the time limit lol

Our refreshments also symbolized what it was for us growing up with grandma Kulaea—-we always had otai and Keke at grandma and grandpa’s Sandy home. Thanks to my mom Elenoa and aunty Mapu for the keke and Sipola and Pate for the otai❤️

We had a slideshow put together by @kulaeaaa @tianelao Latu @poohbearr.t.k @joekaufusi showing past reunions together. The full slideshow is on YouTube somewhere(ask Latu😂🤣). You can’t help but get emotional because we saw many who had passed away in our family over the years—-Daniel, grandma, grandpa, Olive, Sana and a lot our grandparents’ siblings and in-laws.

My favorite memory will always be when our parents and grandparents sang “E Tamai E”. Those still with us sang it during FHE. Made us miss grandma and grandpa even more!

Lao Reunion 2026 hosted by Heikoti, Saia and Sipola’s families

***Opening night - Sat. 9/5/26

We had a bonfire/talent night in my parents’ backyard to open our Lao reunion last weekend. Bonfires have always been a “thing” and great past time in our Lao family. We got to hang out, eat LA Dogs, and chill together as a family to start the Labor Day weekend off. Blessed to call them all family! We were missing so many, but glad we got to meet Marty’s beautiful wife Mallory and the three newest additions to our big Lao family: Baby Jamie, baby Tevita, and Baby Binafoo❤️ HOME is always with FAMILY🙏🏽🥰 #LaoFamilyReunion2026

Sorry I couldn’t tag everyone-only 20 people are allowed to be tagged lol 🤦🏽‍♀️ I’ll post all videos and photos that I got on Facebook for our family
