louisiana tech, i love thee❣️🐾

I knew these years would find a way to zip past me, even savoring every moment. College was a period of life Ive looked forward to since I was like age 13. Hanging out with friends on weeknights, studying in different coffee shops and random corners of campus, meeting someone new everywhere you went, learning more about life/people with each conversation. Playing silly games that became core memories, weekends out forgetting all responsibility for the while, dancing until we came home exhausted. Trying new things, failing, then finding a way to succeed. Getting rejected from one thing but redirected to another. Reaching out of your comfort zone, learning your own boundaries, and growing so gradually that you barely notice it until suddenly you’re at the end of senior year, reflecting on everything.

You realize you come out a different person than you went in. I keep thinking about all the beautiful people I met in college — the kind of people who, every time I saw them, added twinkling lights either to my dark room or to my thriving garden.

Being involved was so fulfilling. Union board gave me some of the funnest people I know, the space to be a little crazy, and grew the service part of my heart. I would join that “cult” every time! AXO gave me memories + people I never would’ve known I needed. It’s so special to have girls that will pick you up from any depth and build you up to any height. The pop ensemble nurtured the music/art side of me. I grew as a singer, I met people that taught me so much and made me more confident in myself. Performing with them was some of the most fun I had! And then my sport, where I met the best friends I will ever have. Running together truly bonds you like nothing else. Track/xc kept me grounded, made me get it together if it wasn’t, laugh if I hadn’t in a while, push my body to its limits, get stronger, and let me run under the sunrise and sunsets.

From the first time touring la tech as a senior in hs, something in my heart said I was meant to be here. It’s safe to say that feeling didn’t lie. I’ll treasure my charming Louisiana tech college days forever!❤️💙 #everloyalbe

After much prayer and consideration, I am blessed and excited to announce that I have committed to continue my academic and athletic career at Louisiana Tech University. First and foremost, I want to thank God for blessing me with this opportunity. I would also like to thank my family, coaches, teammates, and everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. Their encouragement, sacrifices, and belief in me have helped shape me into the person and athlete I am today.
