Open Mic 4 @ Tremendous Brewing was a fun evening of eclectic musical fellowship, including some surprises!

Some really special father & son music moments were the undisputed highlight:

Classical pianist Kaden Hearne made his open mic debut after many past OM events supporting his dad singer/songwriter/pianist Jason McLain, plus they brought their long time family friends Chris Callaway and his son Cohon to perform too!

We welcomed another OM debut of Dan Vierck, plus the long awaited return of singer/pianist Signe Jane! Jason Kuehl and Billy both came back after making their awesome debuts last month.

Many of our regulars took the stage yet again, so of course, mucho thanks to those folks for keeping this community going, including Paul Eskridge, Eric Ouren, Mark Friedman, Terra, Jason McLain, Grum, Hoto Keiki, Late Night Luke.

A former classmate of mine I hadn't seen in over 20 years IVAN KOZLIAK showed up to say hello all the way from Virginia.. Crazy seeing you again Vanya!! Hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip to Minnesota!

Finally, always gotta shout out my Open Mic besties Ben Linder and Luke Smith for yet again helping strike the stage and hanging out with me afterwards. Grum joined us for pizza at Flame Bar too!

Next open mic is Tuesday, Nov 17th. Save the date!!!

Another great OPEN MIC NIGHT @ TREMENDOUS BREWING! Didn't forget to take pics this time either! Mucho thanks to Lori Pietz for watching Willy while I setup my gear and dropping him off with our sitter.

There were some truly inspiring moments. Grum's set melted our faces, Mike Gleason came down from the cities with his beautiful folksy tunes, and Late Night Luke debuted new tracks ahead of his mixtape release.

Next open mic is set for Tuesday, Oct. 20. Mark your calendars and come check us out! See you there :)

JUX is happening! Been a fun couple of shows. Big ups to all the talent and homies that have made it real.

I’ve been bad at turning around photos that are taken but these were some great memories.

Pictured and not, in no particular order.

Such a great turn out for the kick-off event of OPEN MIC NIGHT @ TREMENDOUS BREWING!! I was so preoccupied with running sound and catching up with people that I didn't take a single photo of any performer during the event...my bad. But I hear my buddy Cheryl did so I'll relay those photos later. Thanks to everyone who came out to participate or enjoy the event, it was a definitive success! Special shout out to my dudes Ben, Luke, and Chris, who stuck around to help me load the car, and my buddy Mike Bartunek for making the trip down to play sax with me. Looking forward to the next open mic event next month on August 18th!! "Every 3rd Tuesday @ 6pm!!"
