Thanks so so much for all the love you’ve shown @juanarangomusic and I this past week 🫶🏾 This song was written from the heart for my own healing, but man has it been beautiful to receive so many heartfelt messages about how this song is resonating with so many of you. And that’s the beauty of this. The connection of it all. If I can write the words that hold meaning for you, well, I think I’m doing something right. So thank you, thank you, thank you 🫶🏾

this one was personal, and now it’s yours 🧡

It feels so good to say that my first single in a hoottt minute, “Selfish”, is finally out in the world, and to have made this with one of my best friends makes it even more special.

Truthfully, there was a time I wasn’t sure I wanted to release this song. It’s personal in a way that felt different. It was created from a “run to your friend’s house for a shoulder to cry on” kind of night, that turned into a “let’s use that pain and create” kind of moment (@juanarangomusic and @margyhayes_composer for the win 🫶🏾). It was so easy to write that it felt like I had already written it, and man was it therapeutic. But that’s just it, it was honest. The honesty of it all (plus the fact that @juanarangomusic slayed the production if I do say so myself 💅🏾) became the reasons why this had to be my first one back. This song is a little piece of my heart and now feels like a good time to share it.

That said, I hope this song finds someone right when they need it. And if you can (unfortunately) relate, give me a 🙌🏾 in the comments. Heartbreak is a b**** but at least we got music, right?

Hi! It’s been a while so I thought I’d reintroduce myself 🙂

I’m Tiffany Ruiz - a Brooklyn + Hudson Valley based Wedding Planner, Coordinator & Owner of Starr Weddings.

With over 8 years experience in the events world, I’ve worked film festivals, led auction drives, managed bookstore author events & much more. I’ve done a little of everything in the events world and it’s truly helped shape my career. I have a strong love for both organization & creativity. Workflows, spreadsheets and project management are my jam. Adding in the element of design is the icing on the cake for me. As a wedding planner, I believe that every couple deserves a celebration as unique as their love. I consider myself a non traditional wedding planner (stay tuned for a blog on what “Non Traditional” means to us).

On a personal note, I currently reside in Brooklyn, NY (Bushwick) with my husband, Akeem, our sweet but mischievous cat Luna & the sweetest orange cat alive, Rusty! (They sometimes make a guest appearance during our monthly calls)

I love:

-Watching a lot of horror and sci fi. Literally anything time travel is a yes for me, even if it’s poorly executed and makes absolutely no sense (my favorite show of all time is Lost)

-I’m a Brooklyn girl to my core but love & appreciate the quiet of nature.

- The color green💚It was part of my own wedding color palette and is now in our branding color palette!

-Traveling to the same places over & over again. We’ve done Joshua Tree, Palm Springs & France multiple times. A few places we hope to add on to the revisit list are Amserdam & Almalfi.

-And of course, cats! Luna is my babygirl, Rusty is a sweet prince and I’m a cat Titi to Togarashi and Punim.

My name is Chasity and my pronouns are (she/her) I am a Queer 🏳️‍🌈, Puerto Rican 🇵🇷-Ecuadorian 🇪🇨 multi hyphenate creative born & raised in Brooklyn, NY 🗽. I have been in the floral / wedding industry since 2020; and began Flower Fly Studios in 2023 as an independent florist with an impressive eye for detail and quality. Every floral arrangement, bouquet, installation, or event crafted by / with me is done so with a mindful intention 👁️ , a little brujeria 🧙🏼‍♀️, and more than anything else, a heart full of creative joy. 🖤

🥀 My favorite thing about working with florals is that: I get to introduce you to new / unique florals. It’s one of my favorite forms of art and I get to share it to make others happy.
