Cleaning KUMASI! Ghana is such a wonderful place, I’m glad to have been able to work with Oforikrom’s MCE
@anwelsadatistoomuch with cleaning the Oforikrom area. The volunteers were so hard working with no expectations except to clean up the streets. This is something that takes place every First Sunday of the month. This is how change begins. In order to educate people you must exhibit the change in your behavior first. If we want a better Ghana and a better world. We have to be the change we wish to see. The team at our restaurant @somewherenewgh came out to help and support with the cleaning along with our CEO @laud__ #ghana #kumasi #livingabroad

Jesus year so I’m on my Godly flow ☀️👁️

So happy to have my parents with me this year, it’s been a year and some change since we last saw anyone in our family or friends. And we miss them all 😩. It’s their first time here in Ghana and I’m super glad they traveled all these hours to visit and explore this beautiful place we’re now living in! 🇬🇭

Late nights with my Best Friend in Accra 💞

This Mother’s Day weekend was very eventful for us, but the most important event was us giving back. Giving back has been on our minds from when we first arrived in Ghana but we weren’t sure how to or what that would look like. I remember our first few times passing by roads where Mother’s and babies lied on the floor homeless - many whom are refugees and not from Ghana. Coming from the states I’ve personally never seen that, men yes, but babies 😩. My heart sunk when I asked “are they all homeless?” and was met with a “yes”. I looked away out the window with tears coming down my eyes. Saddened but blessed. In another world that could’ve our family. Because I believe we are all connected in a weird way I sometimes felt that was me and I know that sounds crazy.

A few months of being in Ghana I came to @laud__ and told him I want to start a restaurant and I want him to be the CEO 😭, how does that work? We’ll do a story time on that soon. A few months later it’s a reality.

So last week we had the Grand Opening of our restaurant @somewherenewgh . Which has been getting A LOT of support here in Ghana, but Mother’s Day was 4 days away. Full circle and we’re now going back to those roads and areas with food. ❤️

Thank you @black_innolens and @inno_lens_ for filming and coming by to support the team!
