One year of Elevate Dance Center 💪🏻🎉🌟🔥

In the spring of 2025, I finally decided to act on a goal I had talked about for years: finding an outside practice space for my team. Anyone who coaches a dance team knows how difficult it can be to find the right space with the size, location, and availability you need.

Then I walked into this space, just minutes from campus, and immediately knew…. this was it.

What started with me constantly saying, “We just need our own space!” has turned into one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

One year ago, Elevate Dance Center opened its doors. In my wildest dreams, I never imagined how much this place would transform my next chapter (especially at this stage of my life). With the help, guidance, hard work, and support of so many people, I truly believe we have created something incredibly special here.

Elevate has become a home for my Rutgers Dancers to practice and continue to train, but it has also become so much more. We’ve had the opportunity to work with aspiring college dancers, young dancers looking to take their training to the next level, and dancers from so many different programs and places (even as far as China!)

Thankful for Steve, who lets me run in a million directions, never gives me a hard time about it, and is always there supporting me. To my boys, Cade and Gavin, who literally helped me build this studio from an empty space into what it is today. My parents, who are always there to support me, cheer me on, and help in any way I need.

To Sharon, who came in and quite literally runs this place….we (especially ME! 😂) would be completely lost without you. Caley, who has been there from the very beginning, helping me create a space where dancers of all ages can feel inspired, challenged, and supported. So thankful for you both! My AS crew, Tiny, Justin, Mia, Liv, Caley, Nicolette - can’t wait to see what this year brings! Thankful for you all in your help creating an incredible program.

And to all of our coaches, teachers, and dancers YOU are what makes Elevate special.

One year later, I’m just incredibly proud, grateful, and excited for what’s still ahead.

Here’s to the next chapter. ❤️
