Last weekend was the beginning of the next chapter of my Tap Dance career. I’m very excited to now be on this journey preserving the historical dances, and passing on the @traditionsintapdance to the next generation. This inaugural event was very special to me, as I was able to dedicate the concert in my Mother’s honor, and to provide scholarships to next year’s event in her name.
Tap Dancers from 7 different dance studios came together, alongside professional Artists to share in their love of Tap Dance at the TITD Concert; & Tap Dancers from 5 different dance studios, in & out of state came to take classes at the TITD Intensive.
Thank you’s - to the Tap masters that paved the way creating the traditions that we carry on. - to the Chicago Tap community, @chicagotapsummit & @chicagotap for donating scholarships, to @chicagotapallstars for the support. - to @martybronson & @mamasitamallory for your help backstage. - to @mrgoodiebluesky @laura.chiuve @kjoschro Marty & @aj.fisch for sharing your choreography. - to @lisaevansgomez for your support. - to Tommy, Annie, @maryrose_campos @eilishmorseorourke Amanda Compton for inspiring the next generation of performers. - @tommywasiuta @stardixon @adi_beeler for sharing your knowledge of the art form with the students at the intensive. - to @andi0512 @jaidenl.bloch @ashleyallgaeuer @jachearts for helping setup/breakdown & to @bam_theatre & @stepsdancecenter for the use of the space. I’m truly floored by the level of support for this new endeavor. The future is big and bright!

Smooth Criminal❤️‍🔥
•My tap solo for the 2025-2026 season•

This solo has pushed me in so many different ways and has really allowed me to go out of my comfort zone to find a new style of performance for myself. Performing this solo helped me gain so much confidence in myself and helped me grow so much as a dancer. Thank you so so SO much @laura.chiuve for choreographing this amazing solo!! I couldn’t be more grateful for your support and guidance throughout this season and all past seasons in my dance journey! Thank you for always pushing me to be my best self and for always believing in me! I am so beyond grateful for you!🫶🏻

Although I am so sad to see this solo go, I can’t wait for what’s to come for my senior solo and senior season!!💖⭐️👏

Mia’s 2026 solo performed at @dupreedance National Finals. This solo took 19th place and contributed to her weeklong audition and invitation to Dupree Dance’s Collective Assistant Program. She was also a top ten finalist in the National Finals Improv Dance Challenge. Proud is an understatement. I am so happy for my girl💕 Endless thank you’s to her choreographer, @beccadankmcdev and her dedicated teachers who rehearsed with her, @laura.chiuve, @paigedeets and @gina_cozzi for showcasing her strengths and artistry. @miakdance30, thank you for allowing me to challenge you and be a small part of the creative process, even when it’s not what you want to hear. It is an absolute privilege watching your beauty and grace come alive every time you step on stage. So excited to start another season! @elitedancecompany_il

@dupreedance nationals 2026 was truly a dream come true!🥹✨🤍⭐️

I am so beyond grateful and honored to be a part of the Dupree Dance collective for next season and I am truly leaving this incredible week feeling so special and so inspired! Thank you so much to all of the Dupree Dance faculty, @tmitchell227 @meggywaystins @antheayoung_ @craigersb89 @erickyanezzz @kavitadance @1melissamiles @gagewayne_ @laurendesmedt @aidanaloma @alex.ware20 @kdanceanderson @courtkay5 for everything you do and for making this the most special week ever! I am so grateful for this opportunity to be in the collective program and cannot thank you all enough for being such an amazing part of my dance journey!🫶🏻

Getting to dance on stage with these dances one last time was such a blessing. There is nothing I love more than dancing my heart out on stage with my best friends💗💗 Group results ⤵️⤵️

“Logical”- Senior competitive small group 5th overall

“Ohmigod You Guys”- Junior competitive small group 1st overall

Incredibly happy to say my solo was a huge part in my growth this year. Thank you @laura.chiuve for choreographing such an amazing challenging piece for me definitely one I will not forget! 💚💚 RESULTS⤵️

@13lylas having a duet with you this year was truly special. I will never forget everytime we performed this piece. You are so talented never stop dancing I really do LOOK TO YOU…🤍✨

16 first days, 16 last days, and 16 summer concerts. This one is the hardest, I am saying goodbye to a place that I love, my second home, and my family. This is my favorite place to be and my favorite people to be with. I did not start my dance journey here but for 9 years this has been the place where ive felt the most myself, the place where I have felt so incredibly loved each time I walk in. Thank you @elite_dance_academy_il for making such a safe and welcoming place for everyone who walks in. I am forever greatful for all of the memorys i will cherish for a lifetime 🥰💗
