When I participated in my first competitive stair race in October of 2010, I never knew it would have such an impact on my life and that I would have such impact on the lives of others. I started competitive stair climbing as an alternative training method for the 400 meter hurdles. And here I am almost 13 years later (as of 5/30/2023) still grinding and reaching new levels. It’s truly amazing what you can accomplish when you focus your mind, energy and attention. It’s NEVER too late to set a new goal or dream a new dream, to become all you were meant to be and MORE. This is a reality I’m thankful for and that I get the opportunity to live on a daily, a reality that’s revealed to me with every goal I set and every step I take towards reaching that goal. I’ve learned, as long as YOU believe in YOURSELF, and the GOD given gifts you were given nothing can stop you. Stay focused and surround yourself with positive individuals that will help to uplift you and keep you moving forward. Life Lesson – Choose your circle and the people around you very carefully. Remember to surround yourself with people that will support your endeavors. Not those who support you because it’s popular and they see everyone else doing it but because they actually like what you’re doing and want to see you win. I’ve been VERY fortunate to have a select few of you that have supported me on this journey (literally since I started my IG page lol). But not only from a stair perspective, I’m talking from a brand and art perspective as well. Thank you to those of you that have supported my efforts and continue to do so. We had a blast helping lead the parade for the new Shared Use Path across the span of the Fuller Warren Bridge. We had about 12 awesome students who came out and shared their talents to help celebrate the historic occasion.
