Another lovely day to capture at Homewood Hall, which is always a pleasure to be at. Ash and Laura were such a great couple, and with a brilliant group of guests, the whole day was just so much fun from start to finish.

Q| Have you ever been to a (book) convention?

This NetGalley approval by @e.p.stavs was so perfectly timed! A few days later, I would go to a comic con myself, so it was just meant to be. We still need to wait until 22 September, but I can guarantee you that this one should be on your radar if you like anything geeky!

There are so few representative books about this topic/theme. (as far as I am aware). The only ones that felt like, “yes, this author knows what she’s writing about”, were the books by 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝘆𝗰𝗲 and this trilogy of 𝗔𝗵𝘀𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻. Fun fact: these books by Poshton were my first by her, and then I just fell in love with her other books as well!

Yeah, I love such conventions. I wish to attend more bookish ones, though. But overall, I think that these creative nerds are underrated. You just need to go to a comic con once in your life, just to see the amazing cosplays!

Also the tiny duck and flamingo were given by fellow visitors. It’s kind of a thing in some niche cosplay community? It’s so cute!

A bit of a different post today!

I’ve been wanting to post more behind the scenes content so thought I’d share our girls day from this week!

One of my New Year’s resolutions this year has been to try to not overwork myself so forcing myself to not work when I’m not supposed to be and to take more time off!

So this week I took a day off to go book shopping in Stamford with @lauraelreads and @bluelyboo - we’ve all known each other since school!

We had such a lovely day out exploring the shops, but the main reason we wanted to go was to visit @inkandemberstamford - a really cute indie bookshop that we’ve all discovered via Instagram! They had such a good range of books and I love what they have done with the shop! It’s well worth a visit if you’re local or visiting the area!

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who applied for the rep search. It has taken me such a long time to go through them and there were so many amazing entries it was so hard to pick!

But I would like to introduce the new team for the next term (Feb-April), we have some new faces as well as some familiar ones and I can’t wait for them to receive their boxes! 💕

They’re Here!!
I keep staring at them.
My book is sat on my bedside table 🥹

After so much time of writing, rewriting, doubting, crying, deleting, starting again and holding my breath, The Sea Between Us exists on paper…IN A BOOK!

This story broke me a little, healed me a little, and changed me completely. Letting it go feels strange, but today I’m proud of myself.
